    We were alone on a Friday night. Felt weird, and also saw a mouse in the dining area. Food was good though and staff very polite.

    Lovely cocktails and food tasted fresh. Staff were attentive with time and order. Also provided a little birthday gift which was very lovely with intimate surroundings.

    The service was great. The food very tasty. It was conveniently near the tube station and near to the location we were meeting our friends. The prices were better than expected in a affluent banking area, and there appeared to be no bankers. Nice ambience quiet enough to talk, but not silent as the grave.

    I was catching up with a friend I hadn’t seen for ages. I’m afraid I thought this place was massively overpriced for what it was. Starters were TINY - bruschetta was a bit dry and bland. Those starters were £10 each. My beef shin ragu with pappardelle was disappointing: the ragu was nice (although I would easily be able to make it at home). However, some of the strands of pappardelle had stuck together during cooking (not stirred enough to make sure they remained separated during cooking). As a result, they were undercooked. When a) a place’s USP is pasta, as it is here, and b) you’re paying £15 for the dish, it needs to be perfect to justify that. I paid the bill online using the QR code on the table. A 14.5% (!) service charge was added to the bill automatically; service was OK; not exceptional. And I was then offered the option to “add a tip” on top! £130 bill for the whole meal for two was just daylight robbery for a really mediocre dinner.
