   Everything was delicious. Oysters fresh and briny. Seasonal salad fresh excellent. Sole delicate and I didn’t think I could finish the pork-but oh so good and a clean plate! Highly recommend.

   Best lunch experience in the Napa Valley! Food and service incomparable. Tried several new dishes that were fabulous. Even spoke to the chef about food preparation. All in all, unique place to dine.

   I visted Scala Osteria to celebrate a birthday, we had reservations so seating was great since we arrived a couple minutes before our reservation time. We were seated at a nice table/ couch.. we were soon asked if we would mind being moved to a different table but we did actually mind. The food came out fast & hot! The waitress service was not so great.. we were never checked to see how we were doing or anything, i even tried to wave him down a couple times and he kind of brushed me off to go help whoever. ( i just wanted bread) eventually i was able to wave him down but he was paying little attention to me and my partner. Other than that.. everything was great! The hostess was the best part of the evening! shout out her!!

   We ordered a lot of dishes and shared between us. Every single dish was outstanding. Service was also outstanding. 5 stars.

   Definitely one of the best restaurants in downtown Napa. Beautiful interior design, fantastic food, endless wine list and wonderful service! Don’t miss the chopped salad, mushroom pizza, halibut and roasted clams.

   Scala Osteria is a very professional version of a trattoria- what is served, how it’s plated, and served are good examples of a well run operation. It could be located anywhere, and still be a tough reservation to arrange. The menu is really well balanced - from excellent pizza, to casual small plates to well conceived main courses. We find it difficult to eat elsewhere, it’s that enjoyable
