   Beautiful restaurant and great to see the kitchen in action. Food was fantastic but our waiter was a snooty and made us feel like we didn’t belong; even though we live around the corner.

   Excellent as always but one of my favourite lunch items is their fish and chips and for the first time the fish skin was baked too hard although the fish under was acceptable

   My friend and I both had a selection of 6 oysters each. So incredibly tasty and fresh! I had the very delicious steak tartare and it was seasoned and chopped to perfection. My friend enjoyed the lobster salad. Also delicious. Service was impeccable. As always!! There was street parking on Birch or a green p a little further south off of Yonge. This restaurant is a must.

   Food was fantastic. Familiar items prepared differently made the experience unique. It was a little loud when we were there, noticeable but not unbearable. Cheapest glass of red wine was $42/glass which is ridiculous. I would have liked a glass of red wine with dinner but didn’t.

   Delicious food and great service, my dinner experience exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I specifically chose this restaurant that I have never been to before for my birthday celebration because of the Grand Marnier chocolate soufflé, which was the most amazing dessert I have ever had. I hope they never take it off the menu because it is such a rare find in the city.

   We had the most wonderful dinner at Sash! The service was impeccable, and the food was beyond all our expectations. We tried many things on the menu, and everything was absolutely delicious. The drinks were also amazing, and the ambiance was just perfect! We went with our children, and they thoroughly enjoyed everything. One of them was celebrating a birthday, and we were treated like royalty. Everyone made us feel so special, and the birthday boy was delighted! We will definitely be going back very soon. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant - it will surpass all of your expectations!

   This is one of the best restaurants in the city. The service , the food and of course Chef Sash! Everything just fantastic! Can’t wait to go back!

   New Year’s Eve —nice salads to start. Lovely Chablis and California cab wines available by the glass. Seafood pot —tasty and varied fresh seafood on a large plate. Strip loin with Parmesan/truffle frites also delicious. Service attentive and pleasant. Ability to have a conversation with partner as noise level is reasonable and we were seated by the window in a comfy booth.

    We were disappointed last night on our fourth visit to SASH. While we like supporting our local restaurants and the service was impeccable, some elements of the menu were not up to their usual high standard. Also, for some odd reason, they felt the need to hire a DJ that played techno-pop music that was inappropriate for the restaurant. When we asked them to turn it down so we could hear ourselves talk, they said “It’s New Year’s Eve” and offered to move us to a table that was not directly under a speaker, however the tables they offered us were frankly no better as most options seemed to be under a speaker as well. Back to the menu. The cocktail options were not appealing but I did end up ordering their Troublemsker cocktail which was good, but frankly more suited to a tropical getaway. Their shrimp appetizer was large enough to share and tasty enough but broken into small pieces that I didn’t quite understand. My partner’s Surf and Turf (a special for the evening) was overcooked (he had asked for medium-well but it was well done including the prawn which shouldn’t have been). Now for the good stuff. My short rib meal was sublime and perfectly done and the chocolate Grand Marnier soufflé was excellent. My latte came exactly how I ordered it. Normally, we would have given this restaurant a higher rating but overall, it was not worth $400 for two. We’re heading back to Sorrel.
