Sasaki is located in the quiet inner mission district. We now serve dinner at sushi counter. We offer one prix-fixe menu$120 per person (NOT able to accommodate gluten-free or soy-free diets), nightly created by chef Masaki Sasaki. Your table will be reserved for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Please bring a proof of full vaccination and Gov.I.D.

We will charge $25 per person if you cancel your reservation within 24 hours or arrive more than 15 minutes late of your reservation time, or if you change the number of your party.

      Sasaki is on a nondescript street corner in the Mission where high quality sushi is probably not the first thing that comes to mind. But go in and you are welcomed by a very intimate and classy experience. Both the food and the service were outstanding, and I would definitely come again.

      I was disappointed by the service and I feel I had too high of expectation for food so I feel a bit disappointed for the food.

      Every aspect of Sasaki is amazing and feels supremely authentic. We loved the "down low" vibe, with no sign outside, looking like nothing going on, but the secret is on the inside. Might as well check your passport because entering Sasaki is tantamount to setting foot in Japan. One caveat; if you were thinking of skipping lunch, don't. Sasaki portion is not intended to make a lumberjack happy. lol

      Food tasted amazing and the sake selection was excellent. The only real concern is that we prefer Omakase to be a bit slower paced and with 4 pieces coming out at a time we could have been finished with all of the food in ~25 minutes.

      While the food was great and the service was friendly, this was not worth the large price tag at all. When we arrived, we weren't even sure we were at the right place. It was empty and there was storage boxes everywhere. We sat in cheap patio seats / tables in between to make shift walls with just exposed wood panels. For a $250 / person (after wine) dinner, the ambiance felt more like a quick service restaurant.

      Sasaki never disappoints!! This was our third time there and everything was up to expectation. Umimasu (ocean trout) was the highlight of the night with a hint of smoky flavor from the sauce was amazing. Totally changed our view of the fish.

      Sasaki helped me transplant back to a visit to Tokyo with a simple aesthetic, quiet and peaceful and intimate delivery of the Omkase tasting menu, and outstanding food.

      Delightful omakase despite the abridged menu. The handrolls (uni and tuna) were some of the best I've ever eaten. I will definitely return once they resume full service.
