   I celebrated my anniversary here last night and we had the best time! My boyfriend had never been to Sammie’s so I knew this was the right occasion. The service was amazing and the food was incredible as always. They wrote us the cutest card and our server gave us free ice cream to celebrate. I will never turn down an opportunity to come to Sammie’s! Perfect place for any occasion.

   Vibes are immaculate, very expensive though and I don’t even think the pasta is homemade but I’m not sure.

   Overall we had a fabulous time - the food was delicious, the space inside is gorgeous, and the staff were kind and clearly hard working. However, there were a few issues that really affected the overall experience. Our group of 4 were sat in a small booth, which was accommodating enough but there was absolutely no room to put our small purses, so they spent the entire time on the floor of the both either on top or underneath our feet, unreachable to my friends sitting on the interior of the booth. A few strategically placed purse hooks would have done wonders here! Additionally, the kitchen/bar flow of service seemed out of whack. We didn’t receive our drinks until we after we finished our appetizer (a good 30 minutes after our reservation) and a single pour of an amaro took over 5 minutes longer than plating and delivering 3 desserts (and a cute little birthday presentation). There are all things I’d find more forgiving if I wasn’t paying $40 for a pasta dish. I do not think the servers/staff were at fault for the poor timing flow of the food and drinks, but maybe it’s a larger issue with capacity and service flow that should be addressed at a higher level. PS the basil ranch was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.

   Very great service and cocktails. We got the shrimp app and rigatoni and veal chop. All of the pastas and apps I’ve tried here are incredible but the veal chop was fatty and not great flavor. Will not be getting that again

    Absolutely delicious across the board. We had the fried mozzarella, calamari, lasagna, and chicken piccata, as well as drinks, wine, and the cheesecake for dessert. All amazing. Perfect birthday dinner.
