   One hour wait past our reservation, then once we were seated and served our salad, we were told that it would be another hour to get our steaks. It was New Year’s Eve but very poor planning on their part. Needless to say, we didn’t stay. The bartender, however was rocking, she kept the whole place stocked with drinks all by herself.

   Even though our reservation was for 7:15, and we're there by then; we were told there would be at least a 30-minute wait as they were sitting people based on arrival, which what's the point of a reservation then? We walked over to the bar, thinking we'd just wait there. Nope, the one bartender quickly and rudely told us they were not taking walk-ups at the bar and then walked off. We were seated at 7:40, already knowing what we wanted, we placed our order, the drinks and appetizer showed up around 8. We heard the server to the table next to us say it would be a while since they were short staffed, he said they only had 1 bartender and 3 cooks I'm the kitchen, by 8:30 we finally sierra weathers again when I asked her about our food said it would be coming out shortly. We decided we would wait. As we were already there , but by the time it was 9:15, we saw every other table getting up and leaving.As they had not gotten their food either. Some from our party left as well as they had other plans and did not expect to be there for more than two hours. Saw the waitress once again and told her just to box our food and we would take it to go once ready.We ended up getting our food around 9:45. When she handed us our ticket she apologized but did not offer any type of reparation for our wait. I asked her what the manager's name was and she said it was Jeremiah but did not know his last name and asked if I wanted to talk to him, she would go get him. I told her there was no point as we had not seen him even once in our area to check on us. An almost $300 ticket, no discount, no type of acknowledgment, nothing. Very disappointing experience, first and last time here.

   The restaurant was very under staffed. We had reservations and still waited 30 minutes before we got seated. We saw at least 5 parties pull their names off of the waitlist. Never saw anyone in management talking to guests. Several of the staff members were talking about how bad the general manager is at taking care of the staff. We don’t frequent Salt Grass often but you could tell that something was definitely off this time. Save some time and money and go to Conrad’s.

   Maybe NYE wasn't the best time to try a new restaurant. While we were seated in a timely fashion based on our reservation and our waitress provided good service we were kinda of disappointed. The fried pickles & peppers were pretty good but the # of peppers was really disappointing. In the huge serving we received there were only 6 or 7 peppers. The bread was good. The bar was vastly over priced ( should have known when there were no prices on the cocktail menu ) The biggest disappointment were the entrees. Both ribeyes were ordered medium. Neither were prepared correctly. 1 came out medium well the other came out medium rare. The medium well steak's temperature was served hot but the medium rare was cold - like it had sat out too long. The baked potato served with the medium well steak was hot but totally unseasoned. The flash fried green beans were perfect. I will give the waitress credit - she offered to replace the under cooked cold steak but we had already waited a touch too long for our food. The waitress didn't offer to comp anything ( and we didn't ask - the steak made a great breakfast sandwich ) but she did give us dessert. The cheesecake was really good. Again NYE was probably not the best night to try a new place and we may try again on a less congested evening.

   The food was excellent and the restaurant was well maintained. Our waitress was not very attentive though. We would go back, but hopefully the service will be better next time.

   Took awhile for service. I don’t think it was out server fault. Believe they were short -handed. Ran out of cheese sticks, croutons and salad. Wasn’t a good day to go. But server did keep apologizing

   We thought the restaurant was very nice. It was very busy and took a little longer getting our food, but that was to be expected. The complaint were the steaks were not that good. Mine was so tough and rare I couldn’t eat it. My father’s was too well done. We all ordered medium.

   We had a phenomenal experience! The food was SUPERB the service was SUPERB and the price was GOOD for the quality of food. Our waitress Tiffany was SUPERB!

    Very friendly staff and excellent food! I love the gulf shrimp and 8 oz steak with tenderloins as an appetizer!
