   Food didn’t come out together. Food had a lot of salt and the waiter also apologized to the table next to us about their food. Either the waiter was off (stressed) or the kitchen help didn’t realize all food for a table should come out together. I have been there before and loved it but the menu changed and the service was not good and food salty and trickled into the table.

   We try to book at saltwood kitchen at least once a month the food is off the hook we sit at the bar it's amazing I really shouldn't say that because I don't want people to take over our spot lol

   Our service was very good to excellent, even being a busy holiday weekend. What we ordered was mostly 4-5 stars. Ceaser salad - crispy fried anchovies on the salad instead if in the dressing, same with the lemon peel. While an interesting concept, I missed th umami of the anchovies in the dressing and therefor all over the salad. Grilled green - Brocolini for us, one odf the 2 best items we had. Yummm. Rosted carrots - While the carrots were delishious, the corriander was lost, and the sour cream? under sauce was a miss. I did use the SC on my octopus tacos, however. Octopus tacos - The octopus tentacles were grilled perfecty. The pickled cabbage a nice accompaniment, especialy when I added the sour cream (?) from the carrots. Could have used softer corn tortillas, but I know how hard it is to heat and keep warm and not get drying out tortillas. Fried local catch - I did not eat this but my partner did. In retrospect he said he wished it was grilled, or roasted or sauted. That said he ate it all. Espresso Gelato - Yumm. Perfect end to the meal. I little bittery from the espresso and not to sweet. Perfect. What was sad was that fairly early on the 2nd night of a three day weekend , there were NO MORE oysters. Wold I go back given the chance? Yes, but I would call first to make sure the oysters are plentiful.

   Our server EJ was great. Food was average and expected more from how it’s marketed. Hostess seemed put out when she seated us and we asked to move b/c we were so close to the front door and were blasted with cold air every time it opened.

   The staff is very nice and polite, they took our reservation right away and greeted us with a smile. The service was great and she even told us about the specials which is something that I might be back for…. The baked oysters were really good, great flavor and interesting combinations. The food presentation was very pretty and tasty, we need a little work on the chimichurri sauce… Overall it was a great experience and I recommend it for a date spot for someone you really like, not like the first date unless you do Happy hour or burger Mondays. Anyways. I forgot to mention the mash and gravy… it’s a must.

   Overall the experience was good. Our server may have been new, he wasn’t as efficient as we would have expected. The live musician was amazing and you cannot beat the ambiance!

    We had a wonderful dining experience. The staff were kind and helpful and went out of their way to make our experience amazing. The food was great...all courses! Drinks on the patio afterward were an added bonus! It is expensive but perfect for a special treat or celebration once in a while.
