   Great food and service but given the time of year, do NOT sit to the room on the left as a freezing cold breeze hit our table every time a new customer walked in.

   Disappointing. We have always held S&L in high regard. Had several good meals there. That was not the case during our last visit Jan 9. We made our reservation a week or so earlier. We were put in a back corner where the lighting was so poor we had to move. Appie and beer were fine. I ordered the flat iron steak with add on side of mushrooms. Mashed potatoes were lumpy. And the mushrooms were served with a dollop of cold sour cream on top. I had these replaced. The steak was tough. One guest ordered then wellness bowl but they forgot the avocado - the key ingredient. We had to send the bill back when both orders of mushrooms were on it. We had heard the quality and service were on the decline and this kinda reinforced that feedback. Don’t think we’ll go back. Lots of other options in Langley.

   Pretty sure our server was sent home as she said she would be back then we saw her leaving the restaurant, wasnt communicated to us so we didn’t know who our server was for 20+ minutes while our glasses were empty. Also typically when you go for an event like a birthday they acknowledge it and offer a free desert, we got neither this time. I’m there quite often and this was a fairly disappointing visit

   Was very disappointed in the whole evening at S&L Langely. The food was not hot when it arrived to start off with and the taste was nothing extraordinary. The service however was disgraceful. We did not even see our waitress for at least 15 minutes at one point. She forgot to bring us the desert menu and we finally got frustrated and left without. The atmosphere and the decor were good but we were just so disappointed with the service that we left feeling extremely let down. We wont go back!

   Four of us went for New Year. We all had something different to eat and all the steaks were awesome and cooked to perfection. Service was above and beyond. Will definitely be back.

    We were celebrating our 10 year Wedding anniversary and not only was the food sub par (we had hardened batter from another dish in our meal and was told that just happens because they use the same bowl for various appies) but our service wasn't that great either. Nothing was done to make us feel special on this night, even after we told our server what we were celebrating. At the bare minimum they could have remembered to say Happy Anniversary at the end of our night. Both our main meals were good - the salmon bowl is delicious. Overall disappointing and not sure we'll return.
