Food was great but we waited 25 minutes for our table after our reservation time.

Our first visit to Rust but certainly won't be the last. The food was very flavourful and well presented. Everything exceeded our expectations. The noise level was a little on the high side but I feel that was in part due to where we were seated.

Lovely dinner with friends! All six of us were extremely pleased with the appetizers and our meals. Four of us had the crab cakes and the short rib. Consistently great and Nicole was a pleasure, as always.

Rust is one of our go to places. The food is incredibly memorable in very generous portions and beautifully plated. We had the bison-boar hamburger is most everyone's favourite--about 6 inches high and loaded with flavour. We had the Cabernet Braised Short Ribs which is another favourite--short ribs are always delicious, but this plate is particularly spectacular at Rust. The real surprise was something that I don't think is as popular, but Rabbit gnocchi surpasses everything--sometimes restaurants pile on too much gnocchi, but at Rust it was just the right balance with the meat, asparagus, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. But it was the broth/sauce that put it over the top: thyme, beurre blanc + lemony mascarpone--one of the most delicious sauces that I have ever had! We really enjoy eating at the Kitchen Bar Counter, watching the chefs work their magic.

A reliable, comfortable neighborhood restaurant that is notch above expectations. Fair pricing and good portions. Wine list is concise and thoughtful selections, could include more interesting Ontario and/or add in BC wine(s). For the sake of finding something to critique, the menu is good but some of the dishes are missing some flavour and soul to make them divine.

Another great experience at Rust! From the minute we walked in the service was very timely but not overbearing. Food arrived when it was appropriate and portions were quite sufficient. Looking forward to our next outing at Rust. Thanks, Dave
