Our dinner in Russian Tea Room was very disappointing. We ordered purozhki for $27 expecting to get a plate of delicious Russian specialty. Instead we got three tiny totally tasteless pieces of stuffed dough, one filling undistinguishable from another. Kulebyaka was ok, not better than that. We ordered herring tasting plate for $34. There were three small different piles of herring, all tasting the same - as if taken from one jar, with just different color agents added. We didn’t order desserts. The price tag of $22 for portion of ice cream or a piece of cake seemed excessive. The service though was very good. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly.

The Russian Tea Room is your destination for charming ambiance, gracious service, and impeccably crafted food. It was the best and most memorable dining experience of my entire life! They made my birthday celebration (solo) wonderful and it was like having friends there. Many thanks to all the staff!

The Russian Tea Room lived up to all expectations. Awesome ambiance, superb food, and the traditional tea made this a classic dining experience, and it is not to be missed. I highly recommend it for date night! Service was good but it was evident the server was hard pressed. This is a "must do" while in Manhattan. [It should be to no one's surprise though to expect Manhattan prices (as advertised), especially if you are ordering cocktails.] Enjoy!

NYC staple. Worth going at least once especially if you’re catching a show at the Lincoln Center. Great vodka options and caviar. Nice ambiance and great service!

Afternoon tea is such a fun experience and you get to taste so many different things. The beef stroganoff is delicious. Great service and ambience. Beautiful inside.
