Terrific menu, wonderful ambience and superior service. Our waiter Brandon was knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating a few special requests and along with the food choices (grilled salmon, grilled shrimp, hummus w/ crimini mushrooms, etc...) his presence added an extra touch of attention to details that are missing in too many of the higher end restaurant experiences. Highly recommended!

First, Let me say that five stars in my book is very difficult to achieve. I don’t give 5 stars so easily. The food was good, not great. The shish kebab meat was tender and seasoned well. The stew we had was so-so. Meat was dry. The lamb ribs for an appetizer was good. They were flavorful and easy to get off the bone. We had an eggplant dish that was really good and I am not a huge fan of the eggplant. Two desserts we had (ice cream between two wafers and a cake with strawberries) were both different and good. Not amazing. I did enjoy my Iranish coffee. The place is loud with club like music playing. Restaurant was packed so this may be the reason for the noise level. 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts and 3 mixed drinks plus tip- $250. I will say the service was exceptional.

Food and interesting food. Service good but manic. Noise level torturous, amplified by boombox music.

We highly recommend Rumi's new brunch experience! Our waitress, Cassidy, couldn't have been more gracious and delightful. The food at Rumi's is always spectacular. Our only "complaint" is that we can't resist the appetizers so we never have room for all the entrees we want to try! This trip, we loved the eggplant appetizers, the charred tomatoes and labneh, and the corn ribs. The new egg dishes were wonderful - we especially liked the beef, eggs and potatoes which were incredible! As always, the combination of flavors and textures is so unique - there's nothing else like it in Houston. The wine recommendations were perfectly paired with each course, and we especially loved learning the proper way to drink Persian tea. The desserts were the perfect end to a perfect meal. Thank you, Rumi's, for a wonderful, memorable brunch!

Amazing Experience!!! We had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Rumi’s Kitchen in Houston. The ambiance of the restaurant was stunning—warm, inviting, and sophisticated with beautiful lighting and decor that set the tone for a special meal. The food was simply outstanding. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations. The Lamb Rack was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. The Chicken Barg was juicy and seasoned beautifully, while the Koobideh was richly spiced and paired wonderfully with the aromatic rice dishes. The Zereshk Rice added a unique tart and sweet twist that complemented the proteins. We also tried their appetizers, including the Mast Khiyar and Lamb Hummus, which were fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. To end the meal, the White Chocolate Cardamom Cake and 8-Day Budino were heavenly desserts—light, sweet, and the perfect way to finish. Rumi’s Kitchen truly delivers a fantastic combination of food, service, and atmosphere. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for exceptional Persian cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Thank you, Rumi’s Kitchen, for making our lunch unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!
