   Great restaurant. Friendly staff. Food, cocktails and desserts very good. So nice to see a local restaurant busy. A little advice, always book when you can. Very hard to get a reservation on Fri and Sat nights.

   I started with breaded mushrooms which were ok, my wife had tempura prawns in chilli sauce bit bland. Main courses I had chicken Milanese with spaghettie that was good, my wife went for the Sunday Roast beef with all the trimmings beef was ok but was not hot on arrival. Service is good but overall a bit overpriced for a midstream restaurant Don’t think we would return.

   Booked a table for an impromptu dinner on a Thursday night for two. Restaurant was busier than expected which is a very good sign in the current climate and a good indication of the quality of the food and service. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food quality was excellent. My son had garlic bread and pizza, which he rated highly. I had king prawns and prawn pasta. Pasta was lovely and hot and cooked perfectly. The prawn starter was delicious, but a little on the small side compared to the price, but still excellent. Desserts were very good. Wine list was varied and well priced - was driving so stuck to coke, but will have to try next time. Cocktails were popular with a group of four on another table which was a good sign. Overall an improved experience of its predecessor. Decor and general atmosphere more high level than Aqua. Will definitely return as there were lots of choices on the menu we’d like to try. With Vita closing, Roy’s is most definitely the premium destination for Italian food in Welwyn village (I was not a big fan of Vita, so from my experience not a big loss). Highly recommended and would definitely book if I were visiting on a Friday or Saturday evening. Overall 4/5 (closer to a 4.5)

   We came as a family of 8 for a get-together. The food was lovely. 3 of us tried the roast which was really good, others had Seabass, carbonara and other pasta dishes. Service impeccable. Desserts were very very good! Will return soon. Thank you everyone.

   As usual a lovely lunch in nice surroundings with super staff. Excellent lunch deal. Good choice and freshly made food. Pizza and pasta dishes always a winner . Love the biscotti cheesecake . Always a winner !

   Breakfast with friends. Amazing breakfast. Quality was as good as their lunch and dinner menus. Highly recommend to try their breakfasts.

    First time here since it was Aqua, lovely meal and much more of a high end feel than it’s predecessor
