    Found & booked this little place last minute whilst visiting York. Absolute gem, the lads behind the bar were so friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble and the food is fantastic. Got to say the Steak & Ale pie is one of the best I’ve ever had!

    Lovely food, good menu and drinks choice. Fantastic service, cannot fault anything apart from the next table very loudly swearing constantly which isn't ideal with children about.

    Lovely atmosphere, although absolutely boiling. Roast dinner was ok. Plenty of meat. Chicken was nice, beef was all fat and gristle ,couldn't cut it. We were meant to get carrot and peas, with other items, but got broccoli and green beans, neither of which i like. Broccoli and cabbage we not cooked at all. Potatoes, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding, gravy and stuffing were all great. The cookie dough pudding was delicious
