I’ve enjoyed eating at Roka Akor since it’s opening. It’s one of my favorite places and last night fell short in every way. We took friends who had never been and thought it would be an excellent choice to celebrate NYE. It was a failure. The errors in service/orders are too numerous to list. I do believe the kitchen and staff were so overwhelmed that food and service suffered. Our friends said they will never return. It was expensive (as usual), but the value and quality we have come to expect was absent. I honestly think too many reservations were taken and everything was way below your excellent standards. We will not return on a holiday again, but will likely give it another chance on a random night.

We were there for New Years Eve dinner and it was amazing. We had the Omakase and it was fabulous. Our server Wesley is the best. Service is always fantastic. Truly our favorite restaurant

It's pricey, but well worth it. On the value scale for upscale, it beats out the pretentious Nobou by a mile.

The food is always great and consistent. We love the fact that the food is not you plain and ‘normal’ restaurant food. Roka Akor is a terrific blend of spices and different approach to cooking. The lamb was especially good as is the mushroom hot pot and Madagascar prawn. I would suggest dining outside where is it much quieter as the indoors can get very busy and noisy. Even though it was cooler out the did a good job at making it comfortable. The server was attentive most of the time but we did have two issues. 1) one person in our party had a nut allergy which was declared upon ordering, but one dish did come out with Almonds on top. Had to be sent back for a ‘redo’. The other is that the order in which the order was presented was a bit off. Some dishes were served out of sequence. The Madagascar prawn showed up late and after everything else was served and consumed. The restaurant was very busy as it was Friday night, so we gave it a pass.
