We eat at Robert every time we come to NY. It is an elegant restaurant that is not too pretentious and always offers excellent food at a fair price (not inexpensive, but also not shocking).

Bad slow service. And no one cared. Whatever we asked for was ignored:second drinks, Tabasco, desert menu. No one could be bothered. Full plates of food were discarded without any concern as to why they hadn't been eaten. I brought guests because I'd eaten here last month & it was great.
