   Everything we had was delicious. Service was spot on. Was a cold night and we sat in the main dining area - was a little chilly. Would recommend going with a bigger group so you can taste more items!

   Forest garden was very warm and pretty, service and cocktails were delicious too. Will definitely come back.

   Server was wonderful. Lighting was a little low, hard to read the menu. Very cute place!!!! Happy hour prices were good. Loves the apps. Short rib was extremely fatty. I loved their menu lots of choices. I’d definitely go back 💕

   We shared five starter dishes - and each was delicious. Tasty mock-tails. Our wait staff was attentive and professional. The vibe was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Overall great experience. Love R & W!

   Cozy dinner on a chilly night! The beef burger was excellent (fries could be crispier. Cassoulet was pure comfort food and filling without meat. Gnocchi with chicken was good. Service was perfect.

   River and Woods is such a quaint restaurant. We were there for brunch and it was not very crowded. The tables are a bit close together, it might have the potential to get noisy if the restaurant is full?? The food was fantastic, very fresh with amazing flavor! Everyone in our party of four enjoyed what they ordered! Our server was very welcoming and attentive. A bit pricey for brunch but eating out can be an expensive treat!

   I recommend that the restaurant staff inform people that their reservation is indoors or outdoors, especially during the winter season when it is cold. You might take your ski suit just in case you get seated outdoors. The heating units are placed at the front of the outdoor dining space where clients feel the heat when entering the door. There are no heating units on the periphery of the space so the metal chairs become cold and cause your buns to ice over. It is too cold to eat dinner in the evening when the sun is down.

    We went on New Year’s Eve and were very disappointed. Sure, the place is cute and the service was good, but the food is just mediocre considering the price. We got the baked scallop special, which was just 4 colorless scallops on a bed of mashed potatoes and 2 mini carrots. Was it horrible, no. But it was mediocre… There’s a reason you sear scallops and don’t just cook them in the oven with zero seasoning. The Forage Board was fine, a couple of meats and cheeses, but the old soggy blueberries on the board were so unnecessary. The burger was too salty and the fries were undercooked. My wife and I love to splurge on nice meals but we definitely held back from ordering more food since we were so unimpressed. This is our second time here and we won’t be back. Oh and not to mention they sat us in this big tent they built in the back of the restaurant, which was no more than about 60 degrees inside. My wife and I were so cold we asked to move us inside, which they happily accommodated. I get they’re trying to maximize their space but don’t jam people into a freezing tent to make a few extra bucks.
