Rive Gauche is a slice of bohemian Paris right in the heart of Beijing, perfectly encapsulating French “bistronomy” cuisine, where Executive Chef Basil Yu interprets French classics with extraordinary savoir-faire.

The space is cleverly designed to include a variety of dining, lounge, bar, private and outdoor spaces as well as a variety of food offerings and menus in a sophisticated yet vibrant atmosphere which draws inspiration from the Parisian comptoir or “counter” culture.

Rive Gauche is located on the 2nd floor of the PuXuan Hotel and Spa and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We were the only table at the whole resto! Food was great, ambiance much less as we were on our own! The pairing wines were great, but rather small amounts and after you pay 600RMB for the pairing wines, the still charge 380RMB for one additional glass of red wine, that looks over the top to me!

The food was very creative, thoughtful, and delicious. The servers were highly attentive and can communicate in English and Chinese. The wine list was extensive with many good values. The ambiance was very sleek and modern. The music was modern and not too loud. It was an excellent date night.

We noticed that there was some miscommunication between the kitchen and salon staff. Food way delayed and service was not consistent.
