Riccardo started his career at a very young age in Milan's prestigious "GIRARROSTO" family owned. Then, in 1982 he moved to the United States and he opened the famous Sonny Bono's in Los Angeles. In 1987 he started to work with his cousin Roberto Ruggeri, with him he opened Bice New York, Los Angeles and many others around the world.

Together with his wife (and sous chef), Veronica, and his cousin (and hostess), Barbara, he decided to continue his gastronomic artistry and creativity in his restaurant named after himself "Riccardo Trattoria."

Here through the craftsmanship of an Italian food connoisseur, dishes are prepared with an almost zen-like essentiality that has shaped Riccardo's professional and existential life course. Some highlights of the menu are Veal Chop Milanese, Veal Shank Osso Bucco, Pappardelle with Short Rib Ragu, various classic Rissotto preparations, and for dessert options like Panna Cotta, Homemade Tiramisu and Tuscan Ricotta Cheesecake round out the menu.

                                  Handsome dining area. Attentive friendly service by Miguel. Nice to take advantage of the happy hour reduced wine prices. I greatly enjoyed the pasta with beef short ribs.all 4 of us were happy with our menu choices.

                                  Always fabulous. We started with the tricolore salad which was stellar. Then shared the swordfish special and alpine risotto. Both were delicious, perfect helpings, and great to share.

                                  I love this super authentic Italian place. The venison chop was the best I have ever had, and the service was outstanding. After I misordered a breaded piece of veal (I can’t eat gluten), the restaurant team immediately corrected my error…and they were all very nice about it. We’ll be back and so will our friends. Fantastic meal and service.

                                  Probably the ‘most Italian’ restaurant I have been to in US. I am Italian and the food I had today tasted authentic Italian. Excellent experience overall. The ambience is relatively simple as you would expect from a family oriented trattoria.
