Riccardo started his career at a very young age in Milan's prestigious "GIRARROSTO" family owned. Then, in 1982 he moved to the United States and he opened the famous Sonny Bono's in Los Angeles. In 1987 he started to work with his cousin Roberto Ruggeri, with him he opened Bice New York, Los Angeles and many others around the world.

Together with his wife (and sous chef), Veronica, and his cousin (and hostess), Barbara, he decided to continue his gastronomic artistry and creativity in his restaurant named after himself "Riccardo Trattoria."

Here through the craftsmanship of an Italian food connoisseur, dishes are prepared with an almost zen-like essentiality that has shaped Riccardo's professional and existential life course. Some highlights of the menu are Veal Chop Milanese, Veal Shank Osso Bucco, Pappardelle with Short Rib Ragu, various classic Rissotto preparations, and for dessert options like Panna Cotta, Homemade Tiramisu and Tuscan Ricotta Cheesecake round out the menu.

Food as usual was outstanding for us - pasta dish (my husband had), shared varicote verde, arancini balls appetizer for me, tiramisu, and ice cream with lots of berries. We were seated quickly, even though we arrived early for our reservation, gave our order, received dinner, dessert, and check out all within 1 1/4 hours. However, the restaurant was extremely crowded (too much so really), and cost us $110 including tip, not alcoholic drinks. It was more pleasant last summer when we could sit outside for dinner. That is something for us to remember.

As always, the food and service was impeccable. When I couldn't decide between two pasta dishes, our server brought out a half portion of each! Very cozy dining room - Riccardo's is a neighborhood gem.

Riccardo's is a new favorite of ours...the food is really great and the staff, warm and welcoming. Really enjoyed a delicious risotto and my friends had some wonderful pasta dishes.

We were hoping for a better experience. Waiter did a lot of upselling. Food needed salt and pepper. There were 4 in our party. None of us loved it, unfortunately. Maybe we just ordered incorrectly.
