    We visited Revel before heading to PPG for a concert with a reservation for six. Upon arrival, the hostess initially seated us at a table for four, which was a bit confusing 🤷🏼‍♀️. The restaurant seemed short-staffed, but our waitress did an excellent job managing what appeared to be a large section of the restaurant. While it took a little while for her to get to our table, she was friendly once she did. The food was delicious! However, the portions of mac and cheese were pretty small, and our boys left hungry—one of them didn’t even receive the salad he ordered. Despite these hiccups, the overall experience was great, and we’d likely return in the future.

    None of the food we ordered blew us away. Several things we ordered disappointed us. From the Mac and cheese with “brisket” that tasted like dry cold cut roast beef, to the apparent crowd favorite of smores waffles for dessert that consisted about soggy waffles and cold marshmallows, we were not impressed. The kitchen also seemed to have something going on with smoke coming out of it and smoke all through the hallway into the restrooms.

    The main courses and apps were good. The wedge salad was served in a bowl which made it EXTREMELY difficult to cut, at one point it popped out of the bowl and on my shirt. Our server seemed overwhelmed but tried her best. We ordered drinks and they didn't come until after our apps!!! The waitress or menu should have been clear on the level of intense spice in the Bolognese. The dessert described white chocolate dip and did not come with it. I understand that a restaurant can run out, but it should have been mentioned upon ordering. A little more communication from the server would have led to better choices and a more enjoyable dinner. Ie our best is running behind, this is extremely spicy, our kitchen has run out of white chocolate and is substituting XYZ, is that ok.
