Restaurant Bootshaus is a three-story restaurant with a wraparound terrace located in Alstadt, Germany. The Restaurant Bootshaus sits on a dock, overlooking the beautiful Rhine river. Here, guests can find a fantastic selection of regional favorites to try. This isn't because the chefs at Restaurant Bootshaus eschew international cuisine trends on purpose, but rather they believe wholeheartedly that great flavors and cooking techniques can be found right in the kitchens of Germany. The mantra of the kitchen is "food like your mother made" and Restaurant Bootshaus does that by taking classic recipes and elevating them to restaurant quality.

Nach langer Zeit habe ich gestern wieder einmal das Bootshaus in Mainz besucht. Trotz der überaus freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Bedienung halte ich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für schlecht. Die Speisen Auswahl ist sehr gering und exquisit, vor allem aber sind die Preise viel zu hoch. Das alte Sprichwort „ je kleiner die Portionen, desto höher der Preis“ hat sich leider bewahrheitet. Ich kann das Geschäftsmodell nicht nachvollziehen. Möglicherweise ist es aber wirtschaftlich erfolgreich. Für mich und potentielle Geschäftspartner aber leider keine Option mehr

Wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend vom Service bedient, das Essen war (wie erwartet) hervorragend (Geschmack und Rohstoffqualität), der Chef war sehr natürlich im Auftreten und fand zwischendurch auch mal 5 Minuten Zeit für einen Smalltalk am Tisch. Ein voll gelungener Abend. Besten Dank ans Bootshaus Team.
