   We sat at bar. Bartender was on her first day and forgot many of the things gas we asked for, and almost poured the wrong drink.

   The food was terrific but was very pricey Portions were all good We had the mushroom in phyllo entree for an appetizer which was out of this world I have the chicken dish which was amazing and my wife had the sea bass All were good

   Last evening, my wife, another couple and I dined at Rene in Sedona. I gave service 3 stars. Out prime server was wonderful, but the food runner was impolite. My wife and I ordered a split salad. It was delivered in a single bowl with no extra plates. When we pointed that out (politely) to the runner, he said: “Aren’t your bread plates big enough?” In a restaurant of this caliber, the salad should have been split in the kitchen and served on two separate plates. When we asked for an extra plate, the runner noisily placed 4 dinner plates on the table and walked away. Otherwise, we enjoyed the food very much/perfectly prepared. The property is beautiful and ambience is very pleasant.

   This spot was not our fave! The lighting was ridiculously dark. Wine by the glass was very limited. Would not go back.

    Everything was wonderful the Noble bread with its various toppings was excellent the French onion soup was probably the best we had ever had not to salty very beefy not tons of bread. My steak tartar was excellent but too much for one person to eat my husband doesn’t eat it Excellent nonetheless. My husband steak he asked for medium was rare and staff took it back brought him a brand new steak that was excellent and perfectly cooked he loved his Boursin mashed potatoes ! And to top it all off we had the beautiful chocolate soufflé with creme glaze and vanilla gelato perfect anniversary dinner thank you!
