TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR HEATED & COVERED TERRACE FOR GROUPS FROM MULTIPLE HOUSEHOLDS

Red Dog Saloon is an Austin, TX Barbecue restaurant, serving 18-hour roast ribs, brisket, aged chuck steak burgers and much more, all best enjoyed with tasty cocktails or milkshakes.
Barbecue grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smoldering wood added a distinctive smoky and juicy taste to the meat. Our award-winning smokers have been imported from the USA and are built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We use the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavor, and the meat stays in the smoker for up to 18 hours.

Service slow. Arrived, 8:15. Order 8:35 Drinks arrived 8:45 Food arrived 9:00 Food was terrible salty. Portion size was good. Drinks were OK. Beer was poor, flat & warm, it was meant to be a Corona Lager. Took an age to clear table. In the end, I asked for bill, no one seemed to be interested. £140 - for 1 starter, 5 mains, 3 Drinks. Not worth it.

It was our first experience of Red Dog Saloon, so the menu was unfamiliar. Two of us had burgers and one had a sandwich. The burgers were very good, the sandwich less so. We'll give it another go sometime, and maybe try the plates.

Very poor quality of food. It was way too salty and fatty. But what really annoyed us was that there was no dessert menu???? Just the option of a chocolate brownie with ice cream. In all it was overpriced, unpleasant and if you are going to open your doors to serve the public as a restaurant, then at least have a menu.

Over all it was great I love it there. If I was to comment on one gripe it was that the table wasn't cleared as quick as I'd like especially glasses. Even when the plates where taken the empty glasses that where at the end of the table with the plates where left. That also means we had to collar someone for mere drinks which is frustrating for us and in reality less money for you as we would have drank more. This exact situation seems to be relatively normal across restraints here not just you but definitely the opposite in America. I assume that's because they rely on tips. Beare in mind I didn't realise at the time but there was a £20 tip on the bill already so I actually paid a tip anyway without knowing as I didn't check. We where also offered free drinks as we where moved tables but the staff obviously didn't communicate that to eachother. Over all ot was great.

90 pound for the sharer, that comes with 2 thin very dry slices of brisket, 2 thin slices of undercooked pork belly, 6 shop bought chicken wings, a scoope of barely warm “pulled pork” dish is way over priced for the amount and quality, won’t be returning

Very busy. Had to wait in the middle of the restaurant awkwardly for a table even with a booking, then had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to take a drinks over. We then waited around 25 minutes for water which came out 2 seconds before our food. We then had to wait serval more minutes for cutlery as we didn’t have any when our food came. The food itself was minimal and the pork ribs served had next to no meet on and majority of the rib was purely grizzle which was inedible. Essentially paying £20 for a bit of toast.
