    It was a special dinner, but the food and ambience were outstanding. The only problem was the lack of identifying labels on the covered containers.

    The Fried Fisherman Plate I was served on Wednesday evening, April 17, was an embarrassment. We were entertaining two guests and their food was up to typical Q standards but mine was not. The fried fish pieces were no different from what one would get from a bag of frozen fish pieces from HEB. Same for the three small shrimp. This item should be removed from the Q menu until a supplier of fish and shrimp can be found that does not look and taste like a cheap frozen meal.

    The cod on the menu was said to be GF. When I saw that it had a crust, I asked if it was really gluten-free. My server checked, and found it was not. Does the kitchen not know what GF means? There are too many times where this has happened. My meal was comped, but that is not the point.

    The eggs benedict were simply awful, with some sort of very hot spice added to the Hollandaise sauce. The spicy heat from just one small bite stayed in my throat despite lots of water. The brussels sprouts needed to be grilled longer.

    Had the Nachos, a new offering this week, and a winner. A half portion was enough to satisfy. Both food and service has been improving recently. We appreciate the efforts of management in bringing about these changes.
