Punta Corcho takes its name from the old title of what we now know as Puerto Morelos, in the Riviera Maya. Founded in 2015 by chef Daniel Ovadía, it became his first project in the region, bringing a passion for fresh and creative cuisine that pays homage to the culinary richness of the Caribbean.
The menu offers a vibrant reinterpretation of seafood flavors, highlighted by the use of artisanal methods that add a unique smoky touch to each dish. The chefs have created a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, transforming local and sustainable ingredients into unique sensory experiences. Each creation at Punta Corcho is a tribute to both Caribbean classics and culinary avant-garde, making the restaurant a regional benchmark now recognized internationally with a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand.

    It’s phenomenal!!!! There are a lot of good restaurants in Puerto Morelos, but Punta Corcho has a little extra. The chefs are so obviously passionate about their work which you realize after the first bite! If you haven’t been here before, trust me!!!! You have to go. If you have been there, then you know exactly what I’m talking about!

    It was a great evening to watch the sunset and enjoy amazing seafood and drinks. Being able to enjoy the breeze coming through the open air windows was so nice. The catch of the day was a whole red snapper that was cooked to perfection. The bone marrow appetizer was also amazing with the fresh bread. All of the food was prepared well. We will definitely be going back next time we visit the area.

    Don’t know how it got a Michelin recommendation. Food was bland. Potatoes undercooked. Guacamole had no taste. Margaritas were ok. Over priced! Tried it last June with an awful experience. Thought we would try again nothing changed. Save your money

    Excelente sitio. Comida Del Mar con uso de especias bien equilibradas y los platillos con sabor ahumado, bebidas con creaciones únicas y alguna hasta ahumadas. Atención de primera. Buena vista. ambiente fresco natural. Lastima que es pequeño el lugar. 1000% recomendable.

    A wonderful view from there! I forget the name of the ‘tiny fishes’ appetizer…fantastic as was the fish fillet. Margaritas well made. Will be back for sure.

    Turns out that we visited Punta Corcho on the evening that they were celebrating Michelin awarding them a One Star, which on our experience was richly deserved. Welcomed as we entered upstairs and chose a table that avoided the wind. Attended quickly. Ordered a couple of glasses of Malbec followed by seafood in a coconut and my favourite, unblemished, seafood risotto, which I have had on several occasions since the restaurant was opened 9 years ago. The risotto, which can be a tricky dish, was excellent. But let's not forget the complimentary and excellent lobster bisque in a metal jug, accompanied by warm brioche and the lovely sauces.. My wife finished with the excellent strawberry crumble with salted caramel ice cream; I had her leftovers and can testify to its excellence. Great professional service from the young staff, a really nice atmosphere, and a reasonable price Will we return? Absolutely. The Mich 1: good for you. We were also very imprfessed

    Un sitio excepcional en Puerto Morelos para cenar. El servicio excelente y toda la comida de la Carta muy rica. Imprescindible el guacamole hecho delante de ti en el momento. Los tacos de jaiba espectaculares. Siempre venimos cuando estamos en la zona.

    La comida es muy rica, los kibis con pan pita de entrada están muy buenos. La ubicación es muy buena por la vista, un poco complicado para estacionarse cerca. Respecto al servicio es bueno, pero podría mejorar.
