Psaraki, meaning “little fish” in Greek, is the creation of longtime hospitality veteran James Paloumbis.

The restaurant evokes the charm of seaside tavernas found along the shores of Greece. It offers spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan skyline, and the Williamsburg Bridge, juxtaposing the tranquility of its serene ambiance with the vibrant energy of nearby Manhattan. Psaraki is a place to unwind, enjoy a perfect cocktail, and savor traditional homemade Greek dishes meant for sharing while escaping NYC's hustle and bustle.

Psaraki’s menu is inspired by James’ culinary philosophy, which he terms “homemade”, where each dish is a testament to the authenticity and connection of family recipes, traditionally prepared and presented as if one was a visitor in James’s seaside home. Guests can enjoy a sampling of classic Greek dishes and a selection of Greek island favorites.

Had an amazing dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was top-notch. The food was great—We tried almost everything on the menu and everything was great. Don't leave without getting dessert! Every detail was on point, and I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!

I love the area of where this restaurant is. I’ve been a couple times and was able to see the view, the appetizers are always great esp the fried zucchini and the Greek salads. Spicy feta was good the fried cheese with fire show was great the pitas are yummy. The service is pretty good too just wish there was someone at the host station so someone can acknowledge us. The entrees are very disappointing - the branzino was very fishy luckily there was wedge of lemon to mask it - the steak on pita was overcooked and flavorless the salmon was overcooked and the chicken was way overcooked. I would come back for appetizers but not sure about entrees. Kinda disappointing there. I hope this can help them improve so that it can be better next time

PSARAKI is the ultimate Greek restaurant, transporting you back to your happy times on vacation in Greece. I love everything, the flavors of the cuisine, the ambiance, and most importantly the Greek hospitality. The restaurant is next to the water and is magical at night. Yamas!

Amazing views and quality service. Be sure to order for the table/family style opposed to individual entrees for the best experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Don Julio in Buenos Aires, ranked as the 10th best restaurant in the world. While Don Julio certainly lives up to its acclaim, I can't help but think that PSARAKI deserves just as much recognition, if not more. In my opinion, PSARAKI is not only worthy of a spot in the top 50 world rankings but also a Michelin star—and in my opinion a place in Pete Wells' top 100 best restaurants in New York City. Owner and Chef James is creating some of the finest Mediterranean cuisine in the United States. His passion shines through in every detail, from the restaurant’s thoughtful design to the wood-fired cooking method that produces an exceptional range of flavorful dishes. The team at PSARAKI, led by James, is a group of genuinely passionate individuals who aren’t focused on chasing accolades but take great pride in their work as part of Team PSARAKI. James is sitting on a culinary gem—an undiscovered treasure that's just waiting for the right recognition to come its way.

Psaraki (Ψαράκι) in Greek means "little fish." It's often used in Greece to refer to small, casual, family-run seafood tavernas that serve fresh fish and other seafood dishes, typically in coastal areas or on islands. And that is the experience me and my lady and I got. It was very relaxed and realistic. Each course came at a reasonable pace, and the food was bursting in flavor. I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone looking for amazing food and an authentic atmosphere where you find complexity within simple dishes.

I really wanted to LOVE this restaurant, as so many others have, but the food just wasn't consistently good enough for us to come back. Specifically, I would strongly urge not ordering the seafood and orzo entree. Over $40 for mostly orzo - a couple of shrimp and scallops, etc. - it was tastefully prepared but not very filling. My wife also thought her calamari had an odd seasoning. The above said - go for drinks and apps and enjoy the fabulous view, serene setting (at least on a weeknight) and friendly service and you will do fine.
