    Well, our waiter Rudy was excellent but The front desk staff were not very nice when we asked him for a nice table for two and instead placed us essentially in the middle of the hallway.

    My husband and I had a perfect evening at Proper Grit. Our server, Shannon, was knowledgeable and friendly. He was very in tune with the menu and all it's offerings, and guided us to the best meal we've had in a long time. We had the Hanging Bacon (which wasn't on the menu at the time, but Shannon put in a special request for us), the Mango Habenero Chicken Wings, and the Prime Ribeye. Our drinks were The Ben Old Fashion and the Golden Hour. Everything was phenomenal. We will definitely be back, and will ask for Shannon every time.

    This is my second time coming here. Both times are amazing. The only downfall for the second time was the service. The server could have done a better job. He wasn't bad, but the lack of interest he showed. Anyway, good food, a beautiful location, and is very clean.

    Called in advance to confirm there was valet but when we arrived Valet service not available, we drove back to hotel & walked 20 mins back. Called restaurant to explain why we were going to be late, upon arrival they had no reservation for us. Eventually agreed to seat us because there were plenty of tables. Food was excellent, our waiter was super friendly and proudly exclaimed he was the best upseller at the restaurant, nothing you want to hear in advance of ordering. Quoted the price of the special at $70, returned to say he was wrong and it was actually $75 and then charged $80 on the bill. We aren't interested in arguing after our lovely dinner, super disappointed after reading such positive reviews from others. Maybe it just wasn't a good night.

    Had an amazing time, our server Tony was amazing stayed on top of everything while tending to his other tables I highly recommend the the proper grit for a nice classy dinner date, food was delicious I highly recommend the jerk chicken it was so flavorful and the rice had the best flavor.
