   Delicious pizza and lovely meatballs. A really good meal and reasonably priced. Nice ambience with lots of tables outside too for when the weather allows.

   We entered Proof Urban Italian with hopeful anticipation, envisioning a delightful start to our evening, our experience unfortunately landed with a resounding thud. To put it bluntly, I've genuinely had more enjoyable and authentic meals in airport terminals. Despite being the first patrons through the door, we were ushered to a cramped, uninviting corner table tucked against the wall. This initial impression set the tone for a meal that felt rushed and overlooked. Our order of two antipasti starters proved to be a catalogue of errors and culinary disappointments. The Arancini, advertised with a parmesan and rocket salad, arrived starkly alone on the plate. The promised fresh elements were nowhere to be seen, with a meager smear of garlic aioli seemingly the only accompaniment, struggling to keep the three solitary balls from rolling away. The Burrata with Confit Tomato was an even greater offense. What arrived was essentially salted tomato piled on bread, utterly devoid of the promised creamy burrata and vibrant pesto. The sheer amount of salt rendered it practically inedible. Moving onto the mains, we opted for the intriguing "Italy's Hottest?" pizza, even requesting it to be made extra spicy. What we received was a far cry from the description. The advertised jalapeños and parmesan were conspicuously absent. Instead, we were presented with an excessively oily pizza featuring a base so tough that the provided cutlery proved utterly useless. Despite our initial enthusiasm, the pizza was bland and tasteless, leaving us struggling to eat even a few slices. As if the disappointing main wasn't enough, our side order of chips arrived belatedly, just as we had resigned ourselves to finishing our barely touched pizza. Throughout this underwhelming experience, one waiter, Matheus, stood out – primarily because he actively solicited reviews, handing out cards with a QR code. To his credit, when we provided direct feedback about our numerous issues, he was apologetic.

   The food was delicious! Best pizza and pasta I’ve had. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant’s decor is lovely. Service was quick, although we went at a time where it was fairly quiet. We look forward to going back again!

    We booked here as it was close to Vicar St. We were really surprised by the quality of the food. Absolutely fantastic and a great choice of dishes.
