    Although we missed the sunset due to a colder/rainy day, the atmosphere, ambiance and decor of the restaurant was lovely and very welcoming. A very nice wine list and menu--so much to choose from. Our party of 8 had everything from the fresh grouper and crab cakes to filet to sushi to pasta and it was all super tasty. Nice portions and very well prepared and plated. A fantastic experience. Since it was the end of the weekend, they were out of our first wine selection, but were helpful in selecting something similar. And a few menu items were 86'd but again, they helped by making some nice substitutions. Although we selected to skip dessert, we were totally tempted by the Butter Cake. Overall, a fantastic dinner, in a great location...definitely see us going back!

    Reserved a premium priced Valentines Day dinner for two. $350 total. 20% gratuity included + a special service charge. Table not ready at the time of the reservation which has not such a big deal. Another round of 2 drinks at the bar was $40. The limited special menu had a Lobster appetizer or raw oysters. They ran out of the Lobster....hmmn? You might want to assure youu have enough for the number of prepaid reservations you take. Too many employees helping themselves to it I figure. Beef Wellington was overcooked well done. Yuk. I could go on. Not at all impressed. Not nearly worth the money.

    We dined here for Valentine’s Day and purchased the special prepaid package well in advance. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that some menu items were already sold out, despite having made reservations months ahead of time. Given the advanced planning, we expected the restaurant to have sufficient quantities to accommodate all pre-booked guests. Additionally, the portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price paid, which left us feeling that the value did not match the cost. Service was also underwhelming—our waiter seemed disengaged with tables that had purchased the package, possibly because gratuity was already included. Meanwhile, walk-in guests appeared to receive more attentive service. Overall, while the ambiance was enjoyable, the experience fell short of expectations. Better planning and more consistent service would have made the evening feel special rather than disappointing.

    I made a reservation a month in advance and asked for a window table. We also had a second reservation placed under another name because we need to pay for this in advance. There was a lot of chaos and confusion over this reservation. I made three separate phone calls and sent three emails confirming and going over the details that I was looking for. We arrived and they did have the other two guest combined with our reservation so that was fine. We seated at a location, I had not requested. We’re in the back of the restaurant. When I asked why we didn’t get the table that was requested I was given a very abrupt and inappropriate answer I was told or full and this is where you’re seated no concern for the fact when I responded, I made this reservation a month ago and asked for a specific location very blasé response. We ordered our food. It took a long time to receive our drinks. Our appetizer came before the drinks did I would say at least 15 minutes for a drink. The drink was absolutely lovely, but the appetizer was terrible. We ordered a lobster tail. They had reduced the amount of meat to one bite of lobster and a lot of sauce. I would say that the taste was fine, but I couldn’t find the rest of the lobster tail so I sent it back. Everybody had the same experience and had the same reaction. This was not a lobster tail. Where did the rest of it go. I grew up in Maine, so this was incredibly offensive. They were very nice about substituting for the oysters. The oysters were absolutely lovely. We went onto salad and soup and both were very good. We all four had ordered snakes and they were prepared for three people the way that they wanted them, but for me, it was not rare. I was not going to send something else back so I was reconciled to this was not going to be the best dinner. The desserts came out and they were lovely and the presentation was quite attractive. We paid for our additional cost and left the restaurant feeling a little disappointed, all four of us

    The Primrose visit this time was not good. Our server was horrible which made for a bad Valentine's Day experience. He was very slow to bring everything to the table. The other servers were running circles around him. There were many other tables that sat 10-15 minutes after us that got served and left before we were served. We ended up being there just to eat two and a half hours! It was bad. My wife got the bacon seared tuna, and I got the new york strip. The stake had a stink to it, was full of tough fat gristle to it. The side dishes (one spinach leaf and one teaspoon of mashed potatoes under the steak. were like one fork worth of eating. Her tuna did not look right. The dessert was disgusting, the crust was hard as a rock and there was no flavor. For a $$$$ dinner and an automatic 20% tip, I was disappointed.

    The food and wine were exceptional. It’s a beautiful restaurant unfortunately we scheduled a special dinner for Valentine’s Day with wine pairings $$$ we were seated beside a couple with a baby that cried and screamed the entire time and facing a table with 4 obnoxious teenagers. Both would have been ok if we hadn’t came for an advertised romantic dinner. We couldn’t even hear each other to talk. I rarely give negative reviews but I was really frustrated and felt we should have been separated from the non special event diners.

    First time to Primrose. Our reservation was later for brunch. 1:00 PM. Our table was 1 of 2 during our visit. Food was tasty. Service was subpar. I had to ask for coffee and others in our party had to ask for juices. I expected more attention from staff although it was a Buffett. Our check was pre-paid with reservation along with gratuity. This may have had some issues from staff. Expectations were higher with it being a New Year’s Day brunch.

    We bought tickets to the New Years Eve dinner which included a 20% gratuity. After being seated it took roughly 30 minutes for a server to come to our table and it was close to 45 minutes before we got drinks. Once the server went over the menu we were informed that one of the advertised choices (wagyu short ribs) was not being offered. This felt like false advertising. The table next to us was served a dish not even on the menu (steak) and we are still unsure how that happened since we were told the butternut steak was a vegetarian option. This experience felt like a missed opportunity for the resort and the restaurant. The food was good and server friendly but the experience was deceptive and definitely not worth it. I would not recommend or purchase again.
