I was there with my son, my friend and her daughter. Our kids have been friends since elementary school just as long as we have been friends. We were celebrating friendship, and the holidays and Prelude was just the place to do that. The food, drinks and ambiance was superb. My friend’s daughter is vegetarian and she was satisfied with a delicious beat salad! I was delighted with the filet mignon. I have to say this is an outstanding and restaurant. I have been here a few times and I always leave satisfied knowing I want to return. Superb!

Prelude is always delicious. The brie and bruschetta appetizers, the short rib and scallops' entrees, the ambiance... always a great meal!

Stopped by for a snack before a show at the Crest. Very nice comfortable room. Our server, Kaitlin was friendly and very professional. Menu is small and well focused. We had three apps and bread service; a well spiced curry soup, their signature salad and a great carpaccio with crisps, parmesan cheese and aioli. Ended with a affogato made with a decadent vanilla bean ice cream. All were well balanced, carefully prepared and well plated. Serviceable wine list; not terribly adventurous but found a nice Bichot Chablis BTG. Solid dining option--not inexpensive, but excellent value. We will be back.

It was nice, but for the price, will continue to go to Ella’s.

The meals were outstanding and the service very good. The ambience was comfortable and pleasing to the eye. We arrived early so the noise level was low, but as the room filled up it became quite noisy. Overall a very good experience.

We came here for the first time for our anniversary. I had called ahead to confirm they could accommodate vegetarians. The gentleman I spoke with said yes. The staff and service were excellent. The atmosphere inside is also very nice and welcoming. Our cocktails were good. My husband enjoyed his ravioli appetizer and he also liked his short ribs entree. I’m vegetarian and had decent bread as an appetizer. My risotto was too spicy to eat more than 2 bites. Rather than having a cabernet sauce as listed on the menu, it looked like a canned tomato sauce. The veggies were good but I couldn’t get past the excessively hot chili oil. I like spice food but this was too much. My husband tried a bite and agreed it was good for a bite, but not an entree as it was far too spicy for a meal. I tried the bitter greens salad but it didn’t have any greens at all. It had no chicory. It had no shaved apple. It had no endives. It was a very big plate of just radicchio. Perhaps if it had the ingredients listed on the menu, the Pt Reyes blue cheese dressing would have made sense. I could not eat more than a bite of the salad. Devon, our server, was excellent as was the lady who seated us and took our drinks and appetizer orders. We appreciated they didn’t charge us for our appetizers or my entree and brought chocolate truffles for us as we paid to leave. It’s unfortunate a restaurant with access to excellent, local produce cannot execute vegetarian food that a vegetarian would want to eat. I wonder if they had a staffing issue in the kitchen? I read such great reviews and was hopeful. We will keep looking for a restaurant that knows how to make interesting and appetizing vegetarian food. As a side note, we went to Camden Spit and Larder for my husband’s birthday and their vegetarian food was amazing!

Fantastic dining experience, it’s a bit noisy due to all the hard surfaces, nevertheless the food was good and the service was outstanding.
