A steakhouse: city vibe, local heart. Our menu is hand selected to feature locally and ethically sourced ingredients. Our head chef and owner Jason Carron has revolutionized the New England restaurant community for two decades. With his acute attention to detail, Carron has helped struggling restaurants find their purpose and passion, restoring their place in the industry. Having given hope to hundreds of restaurants over the years, Carron is opening his first steakhouse this spring, bringing that same level of attention to his own restaurant. Every ingredient is well thought out to innovate the plate with not only something aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly delicious. His farm to table approach, ensures the highest level of ingredients go into every meal you enjoy.

Please note our dress code: No gym wear, hooded sweatshirts, shorts, or ball caps are to be worn. All men are strongly encouraged to have a collar. No tank tops. Jackets are not required.

Food and ambience were nice. Even for a young crowd a little too noisy. Older waitstaff rushing us way too much. Asked multiple times to put in drinks, then put in apps, then to put in mains, then to put in desserts, then to pay the bill, all way tpo soon within each round

Our first time and we’ll likely go back. We were celebrating, so were free with what we ordered, but I do believe the prices were a bit high for what we received and where (meaning city-like prices out in Reading.) That being said, the food was very good, the service was tremendous, and the ambiance was very nice. The space itself is relatively small with two sections- seemingly a dining room and a bar area where the bar takes up a significant portion of the restaurant. This made it feel a bit less like “fine dining,” but it was comfortable nonetheless. I’d rank this on par with a Capital Grill type restaurant and will be back- if only for an app and wine night or a special occasion.

Our son gave me a gift certificate as a birthday gift. Really liked atmosphere as we were brought to a window table on quiet side of restaurant. Music playing was from my youth so enjoyed that. Service was exceptional. Cocktail was unique and delicious and recommended by server. Loved the lamb lollipops and pear salad which we shared. Entree was delicious (sea bass) and augratin potatoes were average. Prices on the expensive side so gift certificate helped. Definitely a treat for a special occasion so we would recommend.

Cool spot spot in the suburbs with Boston prices. Food was good but not great, for the price point I was surprised no bread provided with meal which is typically a staple at high end steak houses. Was rushed out as there is a time limit on the table, not ideal for my wife’s Birthday.

Hands down best spot in the north shore and way better than traveling all the way into Boston. The food and drinks sell themselves - some of the best martinis and cocktails around and great wine selections. The steaks are unbelievable and everything is perfectly cooked here! The best part, you leave feeling great and not overly full even though you likely had a crab cake, filet or ribeye, a few sides and a dessert! 10/10 recommend!

Post 1917 has made it to my dining list of premium venues. Service was impressive, food was top plate and ambiance to match a wide range of social/business objectives. My wife's steak was promptly replaced cooked to her desired completion and our date night proceeded with anxious anticipation. Thanks to the entire team.
