About this restaurant

Italian inspired cuisine in a charming and beautiful country setting with outdoor dining all summer and a covered heated tent in the winter. Our stone terrace with large fireplace nestled between aromatic herb and flower gardens makes for a beautiful setting year around.

Upon booking, please select either an indoor or outdoor table. "Standard" refers to an indoor table. If an outdoor table is not listed, the patio may be booked at that time. Please call us directly if your preference is not listed.

Our tent is down for the summer! Tables on the patio are covered by umbrellas for protection from sun and in the case of rain. In the case of inclement weather, we will do our best to accommodate outdoor bookings indoors based on availability.

Take out from 4:30pm to 8:00pm daily and can be ordered by calling us at (804) 741-4800.

We are unable to accomadate parties of more than 6. We are unable to separate parties into multiple tables.

As usual, Portico never disappoints. The covered tent out back is great during the offseason and the food is always so good. Add draft beer, and the place might become perfect!!!

We sat in the heated patio. The food was amazing and reasonably priced for the portion. Services was great and very attentive. A great place to celebrate or just a nice meal.

We had a wonderful experience for our first meal at Portico! We sat outdoors but the covered/heated patio was beautiful. We were celebrating a birthday and the waitstaff was very attentive and helpful. Food was delicious - birthday boy had the lamb special and he absolutely loved it. Kids loved wandering the backyard area and following around "Porticat" for pets. A lovely meal - wonderful ambience for a special occasion.

We seated outside in the tent and there were a lot of customers with children that were running around rampant in the Restaurant did not do anything to stop that behavior. It was extremely loud and amplified under that tent.

Porticos is our favorite area restaurant and has been for years. We enjoyed 2 specials for dinner - oysters appetizer and the flounder entree. Both were out of this world! We also enjoyed the veal piccata entre - a favorite of ours. The specialty gelato is so very good. We look forward to our next visit.
