   Lovely food lovely staff. Service was very slow My partner and I were out for date night Due to service being slow we ended up drinking more. Which was not ideal.

   Amazing food, must have the 8oz filet! Cooked to perfection amazing blue cheese sauce to go with. Staff really attentive and friendly. Cocktails also very good.

   First time at Porters , was special occasion for OH birthday , did not disappoint , lovely table , waiter was very good & the apprentice who was learning , food was fantastic , we all had a fabulous time and will definitely be back soon

   Coming from a hospitality background I know how stressful a Saturday night rush can be but as there was only 5 tables in our section I don’t believe the service was up to scratch. We waited 30 minutes to be seen by a waiter and when we received our food (burgers) they were both cold. Me and my partner were both hungry as it was around 9:40 when we received our food (we sat down at 8:40) so we did eat the food infront of us. The mushrooms also were not garlicky and the chips were soggy. Pretty poor effort for a place with a high price point. We wouldn’t return to this restaurant unfortunately .

   Great food with excellent service…. Wine by ‘corovine’ is expensive but main wine list good.

   I was a little disappointed with the chateaubriand as it was too chewy in places. However, everything else was cooked to perfection. Really recommend the scotch egg and and the sirloin. Price is fair for the quality of the food and the service is first rate. Certainly my favourite steakhouse in Southampton.
