   Food was fast but not good. Service was great but dispute over the bill with the waitress will stay with me. Wouldn't go back. Happy Valentine's Day

   Always a great dining experience. The toughest part is to decide what to order as everything is delicious. Excellent service, hospitality, and views of the park Too often restaurants with a view or location don’t deliver, but porterhouse always does! This is an outstanding restaurant that also happens to have great views. Come for the come for the food and the views are secondary!

   Our return to Porter House Bar and Grill for Valentine's Day dinner reaffirmed why this establishment holds a special place in our hearts. Having dined here previously, I knew its reputation for excellence would provide the perfect backdrop for an intimate celebration, and the evening exceeded every expectation. The food was superb. The culinary journey began with an exquisite amuse-bouche, followed by bread service, appetizers, and a main course, then desserts, which served as a magnificent finale to our evening. Not only was the food exceptional, but our servers expertly orchestrated the entire dining experience. As now empty nesters, we discovered Porter House Bar & Grill to be everything we remembered and more. The staff's sincere commitment to creating unforgettable experiences was palpable throughout our evening, making our Valentine's Day dinner extra special. This visit has solidified Porter House Bar & Grill as our go-to spot for special occasions, and we won't be waiting for one to return. Its superb cuisine, attractive environment, and impeccable service set it apart from other fine dining establishments. We're already looking forward to our next visit, anxious to discover more of what this fantastic restaurant has to offer.

   Wow!! An absolutely amazing place. Top end and top dollar but well worth it for a special treat. Amazing food & amazing service. The only thing that I was disappointed with was that we were offered water for the table & given a choice of still or sparkling to which we chose still that come in a large bottle that we only drank a small amount of. That bottle cost $10. The thing that I'm not happy with is that we watched waiters pouring water from jugs into other customers glasses. This would have been free tap water which we didn't get offered. This took just that little bit of shine off for me. Bearing in mind at over $540 this is the most expensive meal we have ever had and a very big treat for us. Something we would only be able to afford once in a blue moon.

   My brother and I came here for a birthday lunch today and it was such a disappointing dining experience. We were seated at a dirty table with food spilled all over the floor and under the chair and table where we were seated and none of the waitstaff seemed to care. The steak and salmon we ordered were dry and overcooked and our server was subpar. She was rude, sloppy and spent a lot of time slamming plates angrily at our table without once asking if our food was okay or if we needed any additional drinks or coffee aside from water. We usually come here for dinner and it is usually lovely and a completely different experience. However, based on today’s birthday lunch disaster, we will not be returning.

   Food and waitstaff were excellent. Even surprised one in our party with a candle and “Happy Birthday” written on dessert plate. I had mentioned during reservation that the occasion was a birthday but hadn’t asked for anything special to be done. They took the initiative. Very thoughtful. Will absolutely be back!

   From soup to nuts, the entire dining experience was excellent, as usual. We had a lunch special for restaurant week and it was fantastic. Service was perfect, oysters were amazing as were the cocktails. It is expensive but well worth it. One of our favorite restaurants in New York. And the view!
