Situated on the eighth floor of the Port of Leith Distillery, the Bar contains some of the finest and most exciting new wave whiskies from Scotland and around the world.

With stunning views of Edinburgh, Leith and the Firth of Forth, the 200-bottle double-height back bar is intended to invite discovery and enlightenment at the sheer wonder and variety of global whisky alchemy.

Much like the whisky the distillery seeks to create, everything else the bar has to offer is inspired by the provenance of the Forth Valley, and Leith’s rich food and drink heritage.

With a seasonally inspired food menu of local and indigenous ingredients, Head Chef Patrick and his team, combine classic and modern techniques, championing the best of Scotland’s farmers and produce.

We look forward to welcoming you in for a dram.

Our Kitchen closes at 9:30pm Tuesday - Saturday and 7:30pm Sunday - Monday.
Our Bar Snacks menu runs all night.

Delicious. Really friendly staff. Cool place really well designed. It’s a shame that the access is impaired by the building works right now, but it’s worth making the effort.

Superb venue, little bit of an adventure to find. Love everything about the venue. Booked a table 3weeks in advance for meal with friends. Starters arrived with mains which was odd. We were told another party were booked at 9pm so felt rushed. It spoilt the whole night somewhat. 7-9pm - not long for a three course meal with drinks. We had no time for desert! Fancied the egg nog pudding too- such a shame. Do we return? Not sure but perhaps we need to book later so we have the table for the evening?

A terrific venue - different and buzzy- exciting Christmas menu - there was a small hiccup with our order - but not only did we receive fulsome and prompt apology but a free drink and a discount on the final bill - that is competent management - full marks !

We were a group of 7 and had a really lovely relaxed and delicious lunch. Beetroot with whipped feta seriously good. And it was stunning day for views from the 8th floor restaurant. Staff are great.

After going on the Port of Leith Distillery tour, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to support the distillery and try out the bar/restaurant. Fabulous views of Britannia and the Firth of Forth from the 8th floor of the building. One member of our group (of 5) chose from the menu, while the rest ordered the "festive menu" (one chose the Regular option and 3 the Vegetarian option). Lind & Lime G&T were tasted by the ladies while the men drank Pilot IPA. One member of the party thoroughly enjoyed the chicken liver parfait, followed by scallops and chips. All Festive Menu choices were very tasty and enjoyed immensely. We were not the only diners on this Monday evening, but really enjoyed the ambience of the place. Service was very friendly and excellent. I would thorough recommend the bar/restaurant, not only for the quality of the food, but also for the views. We also felt that we were supporting the Distillery in its quest to delivery fine single malt whisky. Not to be missed
