You’ll find Plate at No. 6 down a cobbled lane in the heart of Windsor, nestled amongst the pubs and boutiques of the old town. We are a tapas restaurant, drawing upon the culinary riches of the Mediterranean Basin; our plates reflect the diversity of cuisines found in Spain, Turkey, France, Morocco, Italy, Greece and Lebanon. All our dishes are created by our head chef Olindo who draws on these inspirations his signature dishes including a seafood gnocchi.
The open kitchen and lime wash walls define the chic, intimate dining space of Plate at No.6. Our famous Mediterranean warmth and relaxed ambience welcomes work mates and first dates, quiet drinks, and family celebrations.
A selection of wines have been selected by Sicilian sommelier and Italian wine expert Virgilio Gennaro and cocktails are designed by Regan Fernandes to compliment the fresh, coastal flavours that will revolve around seasonal and local availability. The only thing you’ll find in our freezer will be ice cream.

Bad bad food. Sorry
They were fair to take the undercooked dishes off the bill. The waitress was not interested in any feedback.

Had a lovely meal, just a little disappointed in that when we ordered wine it wasn’t available, and a few items were not available on the menu.
Would definitely revisit and recommend

Really tasty grilled prawns, and bread that was fresh and crispy. It was a quiet lunchtime and the service was good. They didn't have the wine I wanted which was advertised both on the website and outside the shop, the dessert took a very long time coming and the Earl Grey tea was in fact green tea. I'd try it again though because what we did have was good.

Lovely experience. Tiny boutique dining area, lovely cocktails and delightful front of house staff.
Difficult surroundings to work in, but all done with a smile and trying to make sure everyone was having the best experience they could on a busy Valentine's night.

Two of us ordered 7 of the tapas plates. Mediterranean veg were outstanding. Service was professional. Great wine list. Beautiful setting, light & airy. They made us a lovely little doggie bag to take home!

Must stress that everyone working here is absolutely lovely, professional and helpful. Lovely decor and location too. The food was not that nice (or not to our taste) and quite expensive. Of everything we ordered the croquetas were the nicest. Really fluffy inside and crunchy on the outside and a lovely taste. Everything else was a bit odd. The sea bass has a strong vinegar dressing, the chorizo, meatballs and polenta were really sweet (maybe covered in honey). the sea bass tapas sized plate was £19 but disappointing in size and taste for that money. Really a shame because the location is so special and this restaurant should be turning people away, but on a Friday night (January) it was half empty. I’m sort of local and if the food was more authentic to the mediteranean cuisine I would come back again and again and I would recommend it to everyone.

A well run restaurant with attention to detail. Food was very good as was the wine although there is a limited choice of wine and only one beer on offer. We will definitely go back when in the area. A special thank you to Jake who served us.

I booked this restaurant for a dinner with colleagues. The server who greeted us was very nice, but no offer of water/anything for the table whilst we waited for our last guest; we were the only people in the restaurant at the point so it's not because it was busy. The food was mostly tasty, but the meatballs were mainly breadcrumb and the portions were small for the price.
