Pier 29 Waterfront Restaurant has been established as a reputable local eatery for over 18 years. It has a history for good food, friendly service, and comfortable atmosphere on the waterfront. The restaurant is conveniently located in Alameda nestled between the Ballena Bay Yatch Harbor and the panoramic San Francisco Bay with plenty of free parking. Every table has a view of the water.

The "Piers" extensive menu has something for everyone using the freshest ingredients. There's Angus Prime Rib, steaks, seafood, chicken, pasta, lamb shanks, juicy hamburgers, pork chops, sandwiches, salads, fresh oysters, our own famous clam chowder and much much more! There's even a separate menu just for the kids too!

Food and service were great (with exception of the bread, which was stale, uninteresting and mighthave been improved by being served warm). The place was quite loud - it needs some noise dampening. Some of those styrofoam ceiling tiles and cloth tablecloths would go a long way in quieting the place a little so you can actually carry on a conversation with a table-mate! All-in-all a decent meal with good service, but surroundings and bread need improvement.

Ask for the patio if possible. The view of the bridge is always incredible (just beware that it can be chilly even though it’s covered, so bring a light sweater if it’s not summer). The seafood pasta is the best thing on the menu in my opinion, ask the wait staff for some extra bread, you won’t regret it!

We had a family birthday gathering during the Christmas season. The restaurant had a great selection of entree choices for their early bird dinner. Every one in our family was very happy with their selections and seating accommodations.
