   There was a dog in the restaurant by my table while I was eating unfortunately I was too nervous to say anything. Other than that everything was really cool I guess. Thanks Phillipe Chow.

   We had an excellent meal at Philippe Chow. The food was delicious, particularly the salt and pepper cauliflower, the 5-spice prawns, and the crispy duck. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and guided us as we chose a good mix of appetizers and entrees for the four of us to share. We will be back! Much more to explore.

   I was really really disappointed to be honest. I so wanted it to be great because I love Asian food. It wasn't that busy when we were there but our reservation was early since we dined with a teenager and we had gotten into town that day. The service was courteous. But the food left all three of us on the fence. I know we had drinks in there but for more than 400$ I expected to be more wowed. I eat at least once a month or more at higher end places in Montreal with similar or higher price tags so I don't mind the price if I feel it's worth it. And all three of us felt it wasn't. The salt and pepper calamari and the fortune cookie red velvet cake were the only items we truly enjoyed. The won ton soup was ok but a little salty. The steamed dumpling sampler was subpar to my taste. Especially the vegetarian one that looked and tasted like it was filled with frozen spinach. It probably wasn't of course but that's what it felt and tasted like to us. The duck and cilantro dumplings were ok. The wagyu fried rice was ok too, maybe missing a bit of meat. The chicken flat noodle was also just ok and so was the kung pao chicken. So we left with everything being just ok. Keep in mind that this is just one party's opinion and in no ways means that we are right but still wanted to share.

   Everything was great except for the chicken fried rice. They forgot to send with our meal but when we did receive it we thought the chicken was shrimp. It was under cooked and looked white and slimy. The texture was not chicken at all.

   This restaurant was a great pick for my wife's birthday. We had shrimp spring rolls, nine season spicy prawns and spicy velvet chicken. Everything tasted great! The service was impeccable! We will be returning to check out other dishes. They had a 9 course lobster special that looked amazing as well. The price was a little high, but worth it for a special occasion.

    Server was very pushy about ordering the duck. The second server didn’t check in on us and was abrasive handing us the check as if we were taking too long at dinner. Food was incredible but the service was lack luster.
