Part neighborhood café, part energetic bistro, Petite Cerise is located in a bright and lively historic corner space in Shaw/Mount Vernon Triangle. Petite Cerise features separate à la carte menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner. In addition, Petite Cerise has a Coffee Counter open Tuesday - Friday opening at 8am serving classic coffee and espresso preparations, housemade pastries, and other breakfast items to go or sit down.

Dinner offers both an à la carte menu along with a Prix Fixe option. The focus in the evening is to craft unique and innovative dishes utilizing the very best ingredients within the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond skillfully prepared through a French lens.

    We went for lunch when our daughter visited from out of town. The breakfast sandwich was very good, although a bit sloppy to eat because there was so much in it. The galette was also very nice, with a good amount of filling. The frites were nice, and went well with the accompanying mayo. The room was quiet, although there may have been fewer people there today than usual, because of the expected snow. Service was well above ordinary.

    We had a lovely night dining at Petite Cerise. Food was absolutely delicious + great value. Much higher quality than some of the other buzzy French spots around town. All staff was warm and friendly. We'll be back. Highly recommend!

    Awesome neighborhood French restaurant. Creative with their menu and two fixed price options as well as a la carte. One was 4 items whereas other was 3 items. We had the risotto, escargot, short rib appetizer, Fluke fish and beef bourguignon. The dessert was a pear tarts with ice cream. Very impressive wine list too! Highly recommend!!!

    The appetizers and the starters were wonderful two of the entrées redeemed very good. My catfish was fair overall, I would give it a 3 1/2 but only come back for drinks and appetizers next time.

    This restaurant is a gem. The attention to every detail - from menu creation to service to plating of dishes - is always spectacular. Petite Cerise is on my shortlist when visiting DC for very good reason.
