   We loved the food at Pennyflower! We weren’t sure what to expect because it’s in a corner hotel by the entrance to the highway in downtown Cincinnati, but we were very happy with our experience. They have top shelf liquor choices, delicious cocktails and good wine selections as well. We had many different dishes- including the whipped feta toast, all three salads, Amish chicken, chicken schnitzel and the smash burger. Maurice surprised us at the end with the crème brûlée!

   I had a great experience at this new hot restaurant in downtown Cincinnati. The staff was supper attentive, particularly our waiter, Nick. He was great and provided lots of great recommendations. The ambience was big, bright, and has a comfy elegance vibe. Cocktail list was great, I recommend the Cincinnati Gin! For appetizers we were blown away by the Feta Toast. The salads were well portioned and you could add a blackened chicken to it. Highly recommend!!

   What a lovely food experience. The chef and our server were attentive to a dairy allergy and everyone had a delicious meal. We ordered the Roasted Bone Marrow and Salmon Agua Chile to start and were delighted. We split a Grain Salad and had the Wester Ross Salmon and Sakura Bone-In Pork Chop for entrees. Everything surpassed all our expectations. We will definitely return.

   Food is absolutely outstanding! Everything we had was well thought out and delicious. Service was a little lacking, but friendly and well-intentioned. Will definitely be back!

   First time here and loved the croquettes and grain salad. Had Salmon for main dish and very tasty but would have preferred less sauce or on the side. Our waiter started off great and seemed to get spacier as the meal went on. Never brought our bread even though ordered, and almost forgot a cappuccino for my friend and had to be promoted to bring sweetener, again had been ordered. My friend didn't have a spoon, she used mine. He seemed stressed out. Not sure what was going on. Also louder in the restaurant than we liked. Hard to hear the others at my table.

   Service poor. Drinks were good but they took a very long time to get to table. Food mediocre.

   We enjoyed every single thing we ordered. Sixteen Brix bread. Wife loved the chicken with two thighs pressed together and seared all around for a delightful flavor with juicy meat inside. Sauce was exquisite. The strip steak was exceptional with smoked beets and [not one but] two outstanding sauces. Caesar salad was perfectly executed. They have Mauro Molino barberra! And a proper espresso martini to go with dessert capped a truly excellent meal. The service was superb, and ambiance was quite nice but a bit noisy (why restaurants don’t dampen with soft materials eludes me, but this is not unique to Pennyflower). Still, with tables relatively far apart, you can still have nice conversation on your culinary journey. A definite go-back.

    Our first visit to Pennyflower- definitely a shout out to our great server Mark. The menu was 1-page (a plus in our book… too many options leads to the paralysis of analysis), our food was tasty! Overall very enjoyable.
