   Normally one is our favourite places usually reserved for special occasions. The meat selection is amazing. I even like their lamb which I have always disliked any other time I’ve tried it. And the staff are usually excellent. Our last visit was for our anniversary and the experience was nowhere near as enjoyable as in the past. The Meat was still excellent and our table attendant was awesome. The salad bar setup however made zero sense. If you start where the plates are, you get salad toppers first, then dressing and then the greens, making it really difficult to eat unless you didn’t take any other items otherwise your dressing mixes with everything. You also can’t put the chimmichurrie meat sauce on the plate without it running and mixing with the salad stuff as there are no small bowls to keep it in. Many people mistakenly were using it as a dressing because it wasn’t placed with the actual dressings. The mashed potatoes were unseasoned and there was no gravy or other common topping to use either. And while the meat was amazing, I think the placement of our table naturally cause the servers to miss us when bringing around meat. Our green chip was up the entire visit but the only way we got to try more than the same three choices our table attendant would have to send the server to us. The issue with the lack of table service was greatly amplified when we were made to feel unsafe accepting service from one particular server who was oblivious to the fact it is unsafe to touch his serving tools to the plates people eat off and thought nothing about setting his meat platter on our table so he would have a hand free to PICK HIS NOSE while asking what other selection he could bring us. I had intended to have a discreet conversation with a manager before leaving but unfortunately we were called away for a family emergency. I really hope a manager sees this and makes a point of addressing these truly unsafe food handling issues.

   Let me start off by saying our server was good and polite and somewhat attentive. As far a service of food, it was very unorganized and took much longer than anticipated, The salad buffet was very disappointing and the spread was lacking. The meat was with out much flavor and although I enjoy rare meat I found most of which slightly undercooked to the point it tasted as if it was pulled out of the package and served! Compared to Pampas southside, I will never book with the west end Pampas again.

   This was a much better experience than the last couple of times we’ve gone to Pampas. They had a a long post Covid recovery. The food was on point this time. Coming out fast and fresh. Our servers were brothers and they were a lot of fun. I don’t think the hostess likes her job though. And no one mentioned my husbands birthday even though it was on my reservation and we mentioned it at the table as well. That was a bit disappointing. But. At least this time the food was fresh and was served quickly and efficiently .

   We had been to Pampa’s many times. This was the first time we had to wait and ask 3-4 times for meats to be brought by. We watched as tables just in front of us had 2-3 servers bring meat to them but then walk on to other tables. The restaurant was steady but not full. Our waitress tried to ensure we got what we wanted but even then, we had to ask twice.
