The food (set 3 course lunch, £34 each) was very nicely presented and tasty. No vegetables were included in the mains and sides were an extra £5 each. We purchased potatoes, but the fresh vegetable selection was poor. There were 2 types of cabbage (hispi cabbage and black cabbage) and sweet butternut squash; I would have liked some seasonal vegetables on the menu, like carrots, green beans, tenderstem broccoli, mangetout etc, but nothing was available. We were seated by the huge picture window which was cold and draughty. Even when we moved, the overall temperature was definitely on the cool side. We used to come quite regularly to this restaurant a few years ago. We found the new decor and layout far less cosy and welcoming and much more stark.

This was our first time in London from Canada and we wanted to try afternoon tea. We are very glad we went here! Amazing customer service and amazing food and tea. We couldn’t believe how much food we were given and forced ourselves to finish because it was so good. They nearly had to roll us out of there. Thank you for the great experience and thank you for bringing those extra treats when you found out it was our anniversary!

A pleasant light airy room with nice view. Service level just right there when required, and never intrusive. Appreciated being able to stay at table longer than the usual 2 hours, but realise that was probably due to booking load for that day.
