Offshore is a bright and airy rooftop bar open year-round on the third floor at the East end of Navy Pier. With collapsable floor to ceiling windows you get sweeping views of Lake Michigan and Chicago’s city skyline. Our globally inspired menu features items from coast to coast that include light to substantial fares.

Outdoor seating is not guaranteed! It is on a first come first served basis.

Guests have the opportunity to buy-out the 8,500 square foot indoor space, with curvy, custom brass whistle-shaped light fixtures, captain chairs, and oversized “playpens” made of a mashup of geometric cushions specifically designed for socializing. Guests can also opt to celebrate on the 20,000 square foot Terrace, where two private lawns act as a destination for group gaming, social and corporate events, weddings, and more paired with a completely unique perspective of the Chicago skyline not found anywhere else.

This was our first time here and they were very accommodating, service was over the top! It was my husband’s birthday and I had asked for a small acknowledgement and we were received with birthday shots and birthday desserts. Ambiance was amazing! Light was low, but not super dark, music was a good volume, would recommend 10/10!

The dining room is quite large and open — we couldn’t see much in the way of views due to the reflection from the glass. We are sure this would be a better place to visit in the summer or during the day.

This was a fine experience, the highlight being the food and the service. I had the steak frites and it was delicious, plus our server was kind and attentive. This trip mostly suffered from ambiance and actually navigating to the space. It was so deep into the pier at a certain point we were running to our reservation because it was so far away, not a great start. The dining area is huge and open — at night there’s not really a great view or anything, so I found myself yearning for a bit more intimacy that Offshore just doesn’t have. It’s more of a loud, hangout vibe so not exactly what I was looking for for date night. I could see myself returning with a larger group, but the inconvenience of its location might deter me.

We hosted eight visitors from the Philippines here on a Tuesday afternoon. We were the only party in the restaurant at the time so it was quiet. The food was good and it arrived quickly, which was good since we were scheduled to go on a boat tour afterward. Sunlight streamed through the clear ceiling and we had a great view of the Chicago skyline as we ate.

Super cool experience with the lakefront view and the rooftop ambience. Food was great - especially the steak and eggs! The attendants are extremely kind and friendly.
