   My wife and I went to Ocean Prime to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, but the experience was underwhelming. We started with oysters, beef tartare, and bread. The oysters were fresh and enjoyable, while the bread (a mix of pretzel and sourdough) was warm and well-prepared. The beef tartare was overpowering with mustard and had to be sent back, though the replacement was much better. The lobster bisque was creamy with a cool tableside presentation, but the flavor was dominated by a strong cayenne-like spice. For entrées, I had scallops with risotto, and my wife had the seabass. The scallops were perfectly cooked with excellent flavor, and the risotto paired beautifully, though the microgreens were a little over the top. The seabass was outstanding perfectly cooked, buttery, with a subtle spice on the back end that worked well. The potato purée with it was also exceptional and made it one of the better seabass dishes my wife has had. Unfortunately, the ambiance and service fell short. The decor, with mushroom-shaped lamps, fake plants, and a spiky shag-style ceiling, felt odd for fine dining. The noise level was so high that intimate conversation was impossible. While allergies were noted, our anniversary wasn’t, despite being on the reservation a small detail but it did matter. Service started with two servers, but one eventually took over and seemed disengaged. Despite arriving at 9:38 PM and being sat promptly. We weren’t served entrées until 11 PM, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. It also took a long time for someone to take our drink order initially. At over $300, the experience didn’t feel worth it. While the scallops and seabass were highlights, the slow service, odd atmosphere, and lack of attention to detail made this one of the less impressive fine dining experiences we’ve had in Las Vegas.

   Daniel the bartender was great. Not as busy as we expected. Steak and other food were really good.

   The ambience was good. The food was delectable, and the service was superb!! My only concern was the location. It was hard to find because my on line directional map app (WAZE), kept me going in circles. It would be nice if there was a sign on the building stating Ocean Prime. However, after it was found I was delighted with the meal!

   We originally had reservations for the dining room but opted for the Lounge seating, especially since they have a wonderful Happy Hour. We started with the lollipop lamb chops and shrimp cocktail, both on the Happy Hour menu. Then shared the 16 ounce ribeye. The food was wonderful! Had their butter cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert, which was excellent. Planning on going back again!

   Tiffany made our night! Happy hour specials in the lounge are good value, especially the lobster and specialty cocktails. Highly recommend going early as it gets quite crowded after 5pm.

    The Customer Service was very excellent and attentive. We were there to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and they provided complimentary champagne dessert. The server had great recommendations. I recommend the lamb and the Butter Cake for dessert. The atmosphere was nice the lights were dim. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice date or celebration.
