   Al hacer la reserva vía OpenTable indicaba que debíamos estar MUY puntual, 30 minutos antes de tu hora de reserva en el muelle de Boca de Tomatlán, y pues ahí estuvimos as las 2:30... y estuvimos, y estuvimos, y estuvimos hasta las 3pm (hora de nuestra reservacion). El bote llegó, nos llevó a Ocean Grill y al llegar un caos, estuvimos parados sin que nadie nos ofreciera nada durante 27 minutos ¿donde quedó la urgencia por la puntualidad? Por ahí vimos una pareja que estaba en una mesa y se cambiaron a otra, la chica que estaba en la caja se limitaba a decir "ya casi está su mesa"... al minuto 44,  nos ofrecen una bebida "de cortesia" y  nos pasan a nuestra mesa (ya habíamos visto el menú porque mientras esperábamos, decidí tomarlos y verlos). Pedimos unas almejas al grill, un trío de ceviches, los cuales tardaron mucho (a esta hora el restaurante ya estaba a menos del 50% de capacidad), pedimos también pulpo al pastor y pollito. Le pedimos a uno de los meseros que nos de la clave de Internet y nos dijo que si, que en un momento y Nunca volvió. Tuvimos que pedírsela a otro. Las almejas estaban ultra saladas, no podías comerlas, las devolvimos. Los ceviches  bien, sin ser esoectaculares. Y aqui al terminar esto, vino una laaaaarga espera, llame a un mesero y se acerca con un inocente "todo bien?" Obvio que no! Le dije que nos faltaba lo demás, y nos indica que "ya viene", El pulpo muy bien cocinado  pero en porción MUY pequeña y llegó frio (o sea, cuanto tiempo lo tenian ya listo y decidieron no llevarlo) así como el Pollito (de buen sabor pero igual, una porción muy pequeña). Totalmente desmotivados y desilusionados, vimos que se acercaba el bote para regresar, pedimos la cuenta, pagamos y nos fuimos. Es lamentable que hace 7 años que fuimos la experiencia fue algo completamente distinto, delicioso y con un trato impecable. Esta vez no fue así. Es notorio que al  no estar el chef/dueño, los empleados a cargo no saben como llevar la operación de este lugar. ¿V

   Service was too slow and the waiters kept taking food to wrong tables. should consider limiting the number of people if the staff can't keep up.

   There is no doubt that the location and arrival mode, whether it’s over the hill on foot or around the point by boat, are superb. Sitting 50 feet above the water, in a secluded cove is magnificent. That said, it might not be worth the hassle, because the food is overpriced and the service was awful. We had a table of 7. We ordered two salads and two starters. The guacamole came out promptly, and one salad arrived after. (But the other salad, an over dressed Cesar arrived AFTER the entrees and after 3 inquiries. You would have thought they would have apologized or competed the salad but nothing happened. ) Then we waited an hour for this: The tuna sashimi was poor quality, sliced way too thick. The veggie burgers, we’re definitely NOT veggies. They were some sort of impossible beef but our server kept insisting they were veggies. The Mahi entrees were waaaaay over cooked. And the short rib was so grisly, and overcooked. The only good thing was the fries. And it all took 2 hours and 15 min which left us with no time to enjoy the beach. $50/person was not worth the meal or view. Too many other good restaurants to choose from with great views.

   Ocean Grill was one of our favorite places to visit when coming to Puerta Vallarta. This trip we invited all 10 of our group members to join us. 8 came. The service was not good. The food was not good. The portions of vegetables was pathetic for the money. The sweet potato pureed was like baby food. The expresso martini was the worst tasting drink ever. We were all disappointed. Ocean grill should decide if they want to serve bar food or fine dinning and stick to one or the other. We missed seeing the owner who was always there in the past and we also missed the dogs. Still a beautiful place to enjoy a meal and friends.

   My first time with my friends! The food and the views and the service were absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend going . I would love to go there for dinner on my next trip in April. Thank you for a fabulous time

   Worth the hike for this hidden gem, Tommys Margarita is very good and all of the food is nicely prepared.

   The food here was outstanding. Nice portions and cooked to perfection. Our waiter was very attentive and understood English (which was so helpful!). There were people jumping off the dock and into the sea below which brought such a fun atmosphere. Overall an outstanding experience. Would definitely recommend and would dine here again if we’re back in the area.

   Restaurante con una locación muy privilegiada y bonita, es muy especial el llegar al restaurante en una lancha y disfrutar de las vistas de Boca de Tomatlán. El servicio del mesero fue amable y atento, los alimentos lucian y sabian bien. En general es una buena opción para vivir una experiencia diferente.

    We found the meals not up to their previous high standards and the price per person with tip just a couple house marqueritas, (though delicious), was over $1100 per person. On top of the extra 120$ for the boat ride, which used to be free of charge.
