   Overall great experience at O-Ku as always. The food and drinks were top notch, and Tony who waited on us was fantastic. The whole staff was super friendly and checked on us throughout the night. Not my first time at O-Ku and definitely won’t be my last!

   I had the pleasure of having the omakase at O-Ku recently. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was a special guest. The hostess and waitstaff (I believe my waitress’s name was Jasmine; I wish I had asked again) were beyond welcoming and wonderful. I had seven amazing courses over about 2.5 hours. Every dish was thoughtfully created and beautifully executed. I loved learning about the seafood in each dish and that a surprising amount comes from Tsukiji Fish Market in Japan. I could not sing enough praises for this experience. The atmosphere, the staff, and the food were beyond incredible and out-valued the cost of the experience tenfold. I will visit O-Ku every time I’m in Charolette. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience.

   This is my son’s favorite sushi place so we just celebrated his bday there. We had the otoro spoons (my personal favorite), black magic roll (my sons favorite) and salmon usuzukuri amongst at few other things. Everything was excellent from the food to the service. They even brought birthday dessert (thank you)!

   My mom was in town visiting and our server Mei Ling was amazing! Perfectly attentive, great personality, and the whole dinner experience completely made my mom’s trip. Huge shout out to her, and O-ku is my favorite restaurant in charlotte! The fish is so fresh, never fishy, and you can’t go wrong with anything you order on the menu.

   Our time at O-ku - Charlotte was good overall. The sashimi, nigiri, and rolls were well prepared and tasty. One thing that can improve was the wait time for a table. We got there 5 mins early, but they made us wait for a table for 20 minutes after our scheduled reservation. The service was great. The food was pricy, but tasted really good. They personalized the menu for a special ocassion we were celebrating. I would go back again for a special event, but not casually.

   Wonderful meal and experience. The apps and small plates are perfect for our sized group of 3. The Duck Buns...Waygu app....Crispy Kimchi Rice....all very well prepared and delicious. Great spot for dates and group dinners. Great decor and vibe.

   They changed the happy hours to only 4-5 roll options. Took 20 minutes to get seated, despite having a reservation. Waitress was also not friendly
