Where to start… the food is not bad, most of the dishes are well prepared except for desserts. I prefer a bit more crispy pizza crust though pizza was good. The service is friendly. So why is the rating bad? Because it is way too over priced and it offers no value. One pizza, 3 pastas, 3 beers and 3 deserts with a tip costed $350. Will they survive? I think they will because of the location and clientele they have but I don’t think we will return to eat here anymore. We can eat much better in NY.

Unfortunately, this establishment is way overrated. It’s inside the Hilton and a long walk (or a crowded tram ride) from the lobby. When you arrive, the entrance is not clearly marked. I initially stood in what turned out to be a line for take out orders. The workers are friendly, despite being overwhelmed. Not many menu options, so I ordered one of their salads with grilled chicken added. It was rather small and immensely forgettable. And it was $41. There are much better dining options in Waikoloa.

Nui is pretty decent, for a hotel restaurant. Their menu is pretty diverse and does have some vegetarian options. Prices are expensive for the food quality. Take out pizza is decent.

We made a reservation at this restaurant well in advance for our stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village resort for our Christmas dinner. After we checked in and a brief wait, we were initially given a “spot” by the bar area with stools. I asked for a booth, the woman was mumbled something and then directed us to two small tables put together next the bar far away from the main dining area. I didn’t like it but also didn’t want to make a big fuss and ruin our Christmas dinner. So we sat down and soon after our waitress brought us water and then asked my daughter to move her chair to the side of the table because it’s blocking the walkway behind her. Well at that time I couldn’t take it anymore and told the waitress they didn’t even give us a proper table to sit. She responded, “Well, all of our tables inside were reserved and we don’t have any table…”. I interjected her by telling her we did have a reservation and I’m not ok for them to put us in an improper sppt for our dinner. This was then FINALLY we were given a table in the main dining area. And you know what the entire time we’re there, there’s at least one if not more than one open table there. So they lied in order to put us somewhere else away from the main dining area. For what reason? I have my guesses but no matter it was, I felt apprehensive and really shocked about the way we were treated. Food was not bad but we are not going back ever.

Just terrible quality of food for a 4-star hotel Italian restaurant. We had 2 pizzas - the dough felt stale and the cheese was of poor quality. The ingredients were just thrown on top of the Roman pizza. Honestly Domino’s is way better than pizza vs this. Hilton Waikoloa is a beautiful resort but they need to shut down this restaurant or redo it.

Food was good, but not exceptional, and pricey. This restaurant does not have an ocean view but there is outdoor seating around a green space.

Incredible Roman style pizza. Quite possibly my top pizza expereince (and I've been all over Italy). Waikola coast backdrop doesn't hurt either.

Nui Restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with genuinely kind service, even amidst the hustle of an extremely busy evening. I ordered the fish of the day, which, unfortunately, was overcooked, but the flavorful sauce and perfectly prepared vegetables made up for it. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken parmesan—well-executed, with a creative bruschetta twist and a standout touch of goat cheese. The drinks were the real highlight! Both the Tuscan Sour and the Lilikoi Negroni were delightful and original. Despite the hiccup with the fish, Nui is a place we’d visit again for the inventive cocktails and thoughtful touches.
