We started Nonsuch to give back to our home, help grow our culture, and make Manitoba proud. We're proud to offer shareable plates with a focus on local ingredients as well as our award winning craft beer brewed in-house, just steps away from our dining room.

    One of our party waited almost 1.5 hours for their main. Dessert was comped due to this, but there is still no reason to justify that long of a wait. It made our whole evening kind of awkward because that person was sitting and waiting while everyone else was eating then they were all waiting to order desert while that person was just starting their meal. Also had to run out to extend our parking so we did not get a ticket.

    Our first experience was better than our second. We we got there (4) it would have been nice if they had asked if we had a preference of our seating choice - seeing as how we had an elderly person with us. They sat us at one of lower tables that you sit in the green couches... that sink ,.... and are deep- which is great if you are lounging for drinks and chatting - but not to eat at - you end up so far from your food, and then sit uncomfortably on the edge of the couch to try and eat. Next time I will request a proper table when we go with my elderly persons. They could have asked or read the party coming in. Either way though the staff, food and atmosphere are very enjoyable.

    The service and food here are always exquisite. The guest chefs on the first Friday of every month always make for a memorable dining experience. I can't recommend them highly enough.

    One of my faves in Winnipeg. Super tasty dishes, I especially love the cucumber salad, meatballs and the Gnudi. The service is extremely good, I felt our server had the right balance of checking in with us frequently without feeling like we were being interrupted. We were headed to the ballet afterwards and were able to get the full meal and service in the 2 hrs. Being really close to the concert hall is added bonus!

    We had the Le Burger and it was delicious. Also some chips with dip. craft beer and a raspberry sour. Server excellent and friendly staff. A little pricey but food quality excellent.
