Housed in the old congregational chapel on Lendal, NOLA is a new Restaurant & Bar styled in a 1920s Art Deco Theme, the upstairs bar and waiting area is decorated in period mirrors and marble. Downstairs is the main restaurant, which has large leather upholstered chairs and easy banquette seating and dark wood panelling.
Our food is a mix of Cajun inspired dishes and tastes from around the globe, served on smaller plates giving the guest a chance to be more adventurous with their choices. The drinks and cocktails menu are designed to complement the extensive food menu.

Lovely food & service, dined downstairs & were seated next to the live band which was a great experience. Lively atmosphere helped by the bands interaction with the diners. Great value food & decent wine. Would highly recommend.

Food choice was good, probably only need 1 side dish per couple. Minus point was crispy pork belly, one portion very good, the other not rendered, not crispy and underdone. Did mention to the waitress, no action.

Hello, Thank you for the nice feedback. Our pork belly, it's slow cooked and marinated for 17 hrs, it should be tender and not crispy, the menu doesn't say crispy pork but is says crispy crackling which it comes on the side like a really thin stick but extremely crispy. However the waitress should have mentioned that to you, and being more helpful simply explaining the dish correctly. We apologies about this. Thank you very much, we hope to see you soon. We visited Nola for our wedding anniversary and had a fantastic time. The food was INCREDIBLE, the staff were lovely and went the extra mile and the live jazz was great! We would definitely recommend Nola.

First time visit but we’ll be back. Lovely surroundings, great atmosphere and service was very good. Nola serves Tapas style food. We ordered 2 plates and a side as recommended and it was plenty. All the food was very good quality. The menu was varied was something for everyone. We didn’t have dessert as we were full -, maybe next time. I would definitely advise a visit.

Whilst most of our party loved the food, 1 person had to return 1 dish as it was so salty he couldn’t eat it. The alternative choice proved marginally better being very dried out. Otherwise the food was a hit. Service was a little full on, bordering on feeling rushed when we wanted a a relaxed slow evening but all in all, service was attentive.
