Our server was exceptionally polite and professional—we truly enjoyed her attentiveness and demeanor. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the same standard. I ordered “Greg’s Pick” burger, which was supposed to come with blackened seasoning, caramelized onions, blue cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The patty wasn’t seasoned, the onions were missing entirely, and there was only a scant amount of blue cheese—maybe two teaspoons at most. While it technically had the lettuce and tomato, the overall flavor was flat and uninspired. When I mentioned the missing items, the manager came over and offered me “some spicy mayo or something” as a fix. By that point, I was nearly finished, and honestly, it didn’t feel like a thoughtful solution. For my side, I tried the Cajun creamed corn out of curiosity. I can now confidently say there’s no reason to ever make creamed corn “Cajun.” The seasoning was overpowering and completely masked any of the natural sweetness or creaminess that makes the dish enjoyable. Others at our table tried the lamb burger and the pimento cheese bacon burger. Unfortunately, none of the meals left much of an impression. We all agreed the food was just… basic. I had really hoped this spot would bring something fresh and exciting to the area, but if our experience is reflective of the norm, I don’t see it lasting long. That said, for those looking for straightforward, unchallenging fare, it might still hit the mark.

Continuing my way through your menu - today’s choice was Reedus Ripe Tomato salad (with steak). Good stuff - another winner. It would have been great if the tomatoes were ripe but it’s March and I don’t think there is a truly vine ripe tomato in all of SC. Cya next time.

The burgers and steak were really good, but the shrimp just okay. Very salty without a lot of flavor. Will go again and try something new. Bartender and staff super friend!

We sat outside because the noise level inside was very loud. We both had salads, mine with salmon, my partners with shrimp. Everything was fresh, nicely seasoned, and generous portion sizes. It was our first time there. I would go back.

A tale of two fish dishes. The salmon was excellent. The portion was generous, the cook spot on, and value for price was very good. The dish gives Coral, a nearby competitor, something to be concerned about. The fish and chips dish was disappointing. The breading was so thick and overseasoned that it dominated the fish. It appeared that the the heavy breading had to be fried so long that the fish itself was overcooked. Nic & Norman's now occupies a space that was a neighborhood hotspot. Previously, it was always packed, often with wait times of 30 minutes. The bar scene was one of the most active in downtown Greenville. Now the place is quiet. The day we eat there, we were one of less than a handful of patrons. We will go back to give other food selections a try. But, our first impression is luke warm.

We had a 7:15pm reservation and we were seated at 8:10pm. No apologies or effort to accommodate us was made in any way. Very disappointing experience. We won’t be returning. The only bright spot was the bartender was exceptional.
